Default This shouldn' be a surprise to any NBA fans but the MVP Award will go to............

LEBRON!!!!!!!!!!!!, LOL Just saw on SportsCenter that Lebron will be named the MVP of the 2008-2009 NBA Season. Now he has to win the TITLE since his team had the best record, he won the MVP, and the Celtics don' have Garnett

Why do you hate or dislike Lebron, James? LOL Lebron James (Lebron, James). You live in Ohio.

Because he has gotten pretty much wall-to-wall coverage here by the media ramming his greatness down our throat, not just in Ohio but nationwide (if not worldwide). This dates back to his high school days in Akron back in 2002, and his picture was on the front of Sports Illustrated that March. Also, his high school team had a deal with Time Warner (or, as I like to call them, GRIME Warner!) to broadcast their games in the Akron area. I was SO rooting against his team to win the high school championship those years! As you can see, he skipped college to go straight to the pros. The NBA, along with the media, has been babying and pampering him to make sure he's the next Michael Jordan. What kind of message does this send to our youth, that you can skip college for the NBA? I personally wonder if they're rigging the NBA this year so that he wins a title and abandons his desire to go to the New York Knicks or New Jersey Nets come 2010 (with a little help from Jay-Z).

For those wondering if the reason I can't stand LeBum is the Cincinnati-Cleveland rivalry since I live much closer to Cincinnati, it's not; if he played for a team in Cincinnati (if there ever was one) I'd hate him just as much, if not more since he would be closer.

I agree as far as sending the right message for our youth is important- but if a star needs to be born, and is in the making like he was, then I say- set and let him free, and let him be...he made a name of himself...it's not his fault what the NBA makes him a byproduct of. A great player is a great player. I don't think they're gonna rig him- leave that for the NHL..I picked them to go to the Finals, and win it- so I'm sticking with his team, the best team....to win it all when it's all said and done...And Jay-Z is a fool- he is not coming to New Jersey, but that would be pretty cool. The only thing I can see is him playing for Cleveland for 18-20 years, then going to the Nets or Knicks for a year or two at the end of his career when he can still put up 22, 5/6 assists and a few rebounds, for his respective team...But overall, I think Lebron deserved this..He took a no name team, with stars, but no Kobes or Shaqs on them, or Dwayne Wades for that matter...and took the team and franchise under his wing, and soared...Congrats to him.

My personal vote was for Dwyane Wade. LeBron's game consists solely of bulldozing his way to the basket. He still has no consistent jump shot. When his athleticism starts to fade in 2-3 years we will see a fast, sudden decline in LeBron.

I also had Wade as my choice for MVP. His stats were amazing across the board this season, and the way he took a lackluster team from 15 wins in the previous season, to the playoffs this year, really sealed the vote for me. I mean let's face it, the team around Wade is not that good, so for him to pretty much single handedly take them to the playoffs, was next to amazing IMO. If he can get some better people around him, I can see the Heat being Championship contenders within a few years.

No way are they a championship team in a few years. The Heat outside of Dwyane Wade are garbage. Take Wade off the Heat, and they're probably winning no more than 25 games. Even if they improve, they might make it to the ECSF or ECF if they're lucky. They're not even sniffing a title for a minimum of 5 years.

I don't know, to go from 15 wins, to 42 wins within a year is pretty impressive. If they can make a couple big deals, and get some good players around Wade, I can see them possibly making it pretty far within a few years. I respect your opinion, but Iv'e seen teams turn around quickly, and can definitely see that happening with Miami. I guess we'll just have to wait a few years and see what happens.

Miami is a team that totally depends on Wade being healthy. They are a very young team. Beasley and Chalmers are good, but they're very young. Daequan Cook if he's not hitting a 3 pointer, is a horrible player. Jermaine O'Neal is a shadow of his former self and is their only post threat. Their bench is absolutely horrible and have no post threat other than Jermaine. They're in a weak conference, so unless they find someone to defend the post, they're not winning more than 45 games. It's just not possible with their extremely small lineup.

O'Neal needs to go too. He's a shadow of his former self. He hasn't had a good year since 2006-07. He's also been in the league 12 years. He's done.

I agree & what about Udonis Haslem, Solomon? He's younger and becoming a good PF. He's a moron, and a little controversial, and has a STUPID tattoo of Florida on his back lol but I like his game a little bit. Not a big fan but I'd take him in Philly if I were the Gm.
