I always wondered why Janet had the Flowershop Job and Chrissy the Secretary job but - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I guess Chrissy had the LOOK that most important men would want in a secrrtary even though Janet probably had the better skills-lol

But they could have given Janet a better job than a CASHIER at a flowershop for 8 years-lol

I thought Janet eventually took on more responsibility at the florist as time went on. Didn't she eventually become manager??

I seem to remember Janet eventually owning the flower shop.

Yes she did become manager. It wasn't the greatest job, but she finally quit in the 8th season to work as a exercise instructor at a health spa.

I always saw Janet as having a more professional job that involvec a lot of thinking. Exercise Instructor was more suited for Chrissy or Cindy

I seem to recall that was for that one episode where Janet's boss wanted Jack and threaten to fire Janet if he didn't "come across". Janet, AFIK, went back to the flower shop.

And Sol, you make it sound like a Customer Service Rep is a dirty word....
