CPO Sharkey gets mentioned at the TV Land Awards - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I knew Don Rickles was part of the TV Land awards and wasn' expecting to see or hear anything about CPO Sharkey but not only was it mentioned on stage from the guy who introduced Rickles to the stage, they showed a clip of the CPO Sharkey Opening credits. TV Land managed to do something right

Don Rickles comment about the TV Land Award he received

"WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS AWARD IS A MORON"

CPO Sharkey is another show that ended way too soon. Very funny
series.

Yes it was, very underrated sitcom from the 1970's and it's a shame it could not compete with Donny and Marie or New Adventures of Wonder Woman in season 2.

In season 1 it had no problem stealing viewers from Charlies Angels on Wednesday nights.

It seems that unlike Rodney Dangerfield, Don Rickles does get respect! Not bad for an old hockey puck!
