Default The Jelly Bean Game

Hello out there all of you Honeymoonies

We all remember one of Ralph's crazy hare-brained schemes when he thought he was gonna win a cash prize but it turned out to be only a coupon.

So it got me thinking of trying to guess how many items were in the Kramdens' dresser. In this game you will list any item(s) you can think of that were either in or on the dresser at one time or another. If you can name the episode or the amount of items you will get extra credit. If you are a true-blue fan, you might even be able to tell us how many different dressers were used on the show. Any episode ever made can be included.

I am going to guess that we can come up with 75 different items inside the dresser.

1-white glove possibly left by William Churchill in "Pardon My Glove"

Well, if you're going to call this game "Jellybeans", then I'll start off with something from that episode:

#2 - A $5 bill taped to the bottom of the top drawer by Ralph, to hide it from Alice.

Nice thread idea! I might have to do some studying for this one, but for now I'll put:

3. Ralph's hat - he usually placed it on top of the dresser when he got home.

From "Letter To The Boss":

#4 36 underwear sleeves. (Alice cut off the left of Ralph's underwear sleeves because that is the arm that he puts outside the window of his bus. Question: Why couldn't Alice just throw them away?)

In at least 2 episodes that I know of there was a telephone on the dresser.

Here's a stupid one: Norton's elbow. He used a pulled out drawer to lean on while watching TV!

Ok, we must correct the tally here first... when Frank posted his Jellybean, it should have been #5 instead of #4... I know that we're celebrating Steve's Emancipation (our new message board member), but I think Frank had a little bit too much cold grape juice to drink ... hehe!... so now we're up to eight items mentioned, including "a telephone and Norton's elbow" by Larry... lol...

#9 - How about this one... the drawers themselves when they were placed on top of it (Norton's Federal Case idea lol)... from 'A Woman's Work Is Never Done' when Norton helped to move the dresser so that Ralph could clean behind it while Alice was working down at Krausmeyer's Bakery stuffing jelly into doughnuts... 1-2-3 LIFT!!!!

#11 - Mrs. Rafferty's cake which Alice hid in the dresser from Ralph in 'Ralph's Diet' (Lost Episode) ---->

(Obviously there are a couple of other things visible on top of the dresser in this photo, one of which Bill S. already mentioned, but I guess we'll leave the other item for another post... lol.)

Being they were all in the same episode, I'll name all three. The episode is "Promotion"
#13-Brown bag full of money.(probably $75 of one dollar bills)
#14-Pillow Cases
#15-Bed sheets

Ralph:And I won't need that lunch box anymore. From here on out, you can start packing my lunch in a briefcase.

#16. As referred to in the "Better Living Through TV" episode: Wallpaper that glows in the dark (for all the "greenies" out there concerned about alternative energy).

#17 (Thanks to powbangzooom for this one) - Ralph's lunch box

I watched some classic 39 episodes last night. Let's see if I can remember all the items I saw on and in the dresser. In all 3 episodes I watched there was:

#18 - A silver looking vase or candy dish.

In 'Twas the Night Before Christmas:

#19 - Various Christmas gifts
#20 - Ralph's coat (Ralph took his coat off when he entered the room and threw it on the dresser).

In A Matter of Record (in addition to lots of unrecognizable junk):

#21 - A deck of cards
#22 - Alice's Mother's jacket
#23 - Johnny's stickball bat

In Oh My Aching Back:

#24 - A thermometer
#25 - Ralph's bus driver jacket
#26 - Ralph's Raccoons bowling jacket (that dresser seems to take the place of a coat rack!)
#27 - Ralph's bowling bag ball, I mean bowling ball bag
#28 - Ralph's bowling trophy (Alice hid it in the top drawer before Ralph came home from work)
