Default Where have all the hot TV women gone?

For guys who used to always watch television and drool over all the pretty babes they saw on TV, it used to be the best of times with so much hotness available.

Unfortunately, that era is starting to dry up.

Nowadays, all the decent-looking women are either on idioctic reality shows (no disrespect to the actual women themselves, but the concepts are so dumb it makes them look foolish).

It's hard to believe how good we guys used to have it.

In the late 80s, there were so many attractive women on TV:

Alyssa Milano, Christina Applegate, Nicole Eggert, Heather Locklear, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkeley, Danica McKellar, Justine Bateman.

The 1990s added many more names to this lexicon of hotness:

Nikki Cox, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Danielle Fishel,... and my personal favorite, Angela Watson.

But as they got older, unlike in previous years, the torch was not passed so well, and the era of beautiful television women seems to be waning.

For a contrast of how things have changed, look at the WB/CW Network.

At one point, the following hotties were working for the WB Network:

Nikki Cox
Alyssa Milano
Shannen Doherty
Jessica Biel
Katie Holmes
Melissa Joan Hart
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Charisma Carpenter

Nowadays, the CW's resident attractive women are some of the new '90210' women that made waves for supposed rumors about their lack of eating.

What sad irony- a network that used to be loaded with hot babes is now a shadow of what it used to have.

Let's face it- all the pretty faces are now doing dumb reality shows or are overrated in the beauty department.

Look at that stupid 'Cougar' show- a 40-year-old woman who is desperate for love from young men.

Whatever happened to the days of old? Back then, hotties like Karen Foster from 'Step By Step' or Kelly Kapowski from 'Saved By The Bell' carried themselves with dignity.

Now, it's all going down the drain.

What a sad decline in a once-proud part of television viewing.

You think you've got it rough, I'm still waiting for the era of hot guys on t.v. to begin!!!

We've never had an era where there were plenty of really good looking MEN on t.v.

We still have hot women like Eva Longoria, Kaley Cuoco, Evangeline Lilly, Emily VanCamp, Katherine Heigl, Christina Applegate, all on network shows right now. I'm sure I missed someone.

Well the hottest TV babe of all Liz Montgomery is no longer with us, so sadly we wont see her on a new show anytime soon.

Just my opinion, but-

Yvonne "Strahotski" Strahovski- 'Chuck'
Linda Cardellini- 'E.R.'
Grace Park- 'Battlestar Galactica'
Nadine Velazquez- 'My Name is Earl'
Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance- 'Smallville'
Yunjin Kim- 'Lost'
Erica Cerra, Salli Richardson-Whitfield- 'Eureka'

I think there is a number of hot, attractive, beautiful women on TV right now.

As for the CW, there are some lovelies there -

Erica Durance(Smallville). That is woman!.

Blake Lively(Gossip Girl). Didn't pay attention much, but I am now!. Lol.

Jennie Garth(90210). She's the only thing going on the new show.

And, my personal favorite from the CW, Missy Peregrym from "Reaper".

There are a number of others on TV that a lot of others have already posted.

There is, like Pavan said, Kaley Cuoco. The OP is right though, the well has run dry.

There's also a worrying trend of cosmetically-ruined women haunting TV. Look at "Scrubs"' Christa Miller Lawrence, her face hasn't moved for 4 seasons! If she wasn't married to the creator, who has cast her in another show as well (Cougar Town), I'm not sure she'd get work.

There were two big reasons I watched WKRP in Cincinnati, and her name was Loni. Lynda Carter wasn't so bad either.

Heather Thomas from "The Fall Guy".
