Default While putting $10,000 Pyramid on DVD....

I notice Ed Asner had gray spray hair coloring on the top of his bald head!
I guess this was done to avoid the studio lights from shining on it and giving a reflection or something....it just struck me funny

Question

Jude, you wouldn't happen to have Barney Miller week of Super Password from 1988, would you? It starred Hal Linden, Max Gail, Ron Carey and you-know-who??

Sorry, Monika! I got these episodes from when GSN (when it was still Game Show Network) aired a marathon.

The only Barney Miller I have is the two episode DVD that came on the General Mills cereal box!

You might want to ask in a traders forum. Game show collectors are notorious for a wide range of stuff.

Maybe Ron Popeil got the idea for his "GLH" spray from Hollywood (or did his spray-on hair pre-date this)? LOL -- hair in a can!

My dad knew a guy who sprinkled a dark powder on his bald spot. So there were various methods other than spray.

I like Super Password, but I'm always saddened to see Bert Convy -- sadly, he died while still in his 50s.

He was also in one of the Salem episodes of Bewitched.

He made a darn good Paul Revere. You should see what he looked like back when he did 77 Sunset Strip. Very short hair for Bert, comparable to Robert Reed in Season 1 of The Brady Bunch. Bert also did some Partridge Family, as a guy running for congress and love interest for Shirley.

I used to watch Pyramid a lot when I was growing up. In fact I saw more of Dick Clark on that series than any other, including AB. I thought Donny Osmond was a very good choice as host in much more recent years.

I remember Bert on The Partridge Family! On one episode Jodie Foster played his daughter and a sort of love interest for Danny! (she slugged him when he tried to kiss her!)

I don't offhand. I do have a few episodes of Super Password: the hilarious one where Rip Taylor rips off his toupee, the emotional finale with Betty White destroying the magic toaster, and the debut with Pat Sajak and Gloria Loring. One other ep I think, but nothing with Barney Miller.
