Several news sources are now reporting that Bea Arthur passed away today from cancer.

Oh wow. I am in complete shock. Ever since I was a kid I've been a fan of hers. I loved watching Maude and I loved her on the Golden Girls. She is a true TV legend. This is just horrible. Rest in peace Bea.

"Cousin Maude's Visit" is one of my favorite episodes of All in the Family. Maude has some great lines in that episode. She really knew how to put Archie in his place. The debate between Archie and Maude over who was a better president, FDR or Richard Nixon, is priceless.
