Eek Pro wrestling gone terribly wrong!! Undertaker lands on head at Wrestlemania 25

There have been alot of scary accidents in wrestling, but this is one that scared me more than most. It happened at Wrestlemania 25, as The Undertaker went for his patented dive from the ring, and onto the ring apron, and it went terribly wrong. I'm amazed that he did not break his neck, as the padding on the floor is about an inch thick, and all that's underneath is cement. This scared me more than when Brock Lesnar took his header at Wrestlemania 19, and this one I didn't even watch live. Had I watched it live, I probably would have pissed myself, or threw up. This is just so violent. For anyone who wants to see the full Undertaker/Michael's match, which I consider one of the greatest matches in wrestling history, send me a pm, and I'll send you the link.

Actually it looks as though he landed on the top of his shoulders - he folded his head under so that his shoulders took the brunt of the fall.

I hate to disagree with you Cathie, but seeing the whole match, and seeing them show it from dfferent angles, it looked to me like he landed on his head. There was even an indentation on the mat where his head apparantely landed. If you look closely, you can even see the indentation. Either way, whether it was shoulder, or head, or a combination of both, it had to be painful. It took him 5 minutes to get up after it happened. Very scary moment!!

Well if you've seen it at different angles, then you're probably right. It's just from that angle, it looked to me as though he was able to take it mostly on his shoulders. I noticed someone else thought he was able to get on his shoulders in that clip (one of the comments made below), but if there were different angles to see it from that could make a difference. At least he wasn't injured badly.

I'm just glad I'm not married to one of these guys. I'd be a nervous wreck!

It didn't look like it was a full blow to the head. It looked like he landed on his shoulders or neck, which lessened the impact to his head. Remember, Taker legit is about 280 pounds and he's about 8 feet in the air. If he landed completely on his head, he'd be crippled.

Cool

It's pretty obvious to me that the cameraman broke his fall.

Here are a few other wrestling moments gone seriously wrong. These moments actually ended up much worse than the original one I posted, as one of the guys became paralyzed, the other broke his leg, and the other recieved a severe concussion. This is the reason I respect pro wrestlers so much, and get steamed when people say it's fake. Yes, the matches are staged, but the stuff they do is far from fake. These guys put their lives on the line for our entertainment!! These videos are not for the squemish, so if you can't handle this kind of stuff, don't watch!!!!!!

Brock Lesnar gets concussion at WM 19

Sid Vicious breaks his leg

Hayabusa breaks his neck and is paralyzed

I think he wrestled a few matches on the Indy circuit. He also wanted to return to WWE, but it never happened. His leg break was absolutely gross. It snapped completely in half. You could see it bent to the side.

Thanks for the heads up on the details! I'll pass if you can see that. YEECH!

Reminds me of one evening when I served spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. My ex insisted we watch the UFC while eating dinner. Next thing I know he's shouting, Cath - look - LOOK! The guy's gouging his eyes out! (right as I'm taking a bite of a meatball!!!)

I'll stick to viewing curling matches since then......
