I was having a discusion with a 76ers fan who refused to take a $5000 bet that the Magic would not win another game.-lol If you are a 76ers fan, wouldn't you want to increase your BANK ACCOUNT???

Why would it matter to bet against your team if you will have a nice financial come up??

If it was a sure thing, then I'd do it in a heartbeat. That's why I would never bet on a Cleveland team.

If I wanted to bet you that the Cavs would win the series over the Pistons in a Sweep and win every game by 20 or more points, you would jump on that in a second-lol

I don't think many people would not take a bet for 5 grand that was a sure thing, even if they believe they would. Hypothetical is a lot different than reality. Looking at 5 grand changes things. Unless a person has a lot of money, I just don't believe it.
