That's a very good question Aaron. They should of had the nurses on. I don't know why they didn't. I think the following people should have been included in the reunion:

Kelleye Nakahara - Nurse Kelleye

Odessa Cleveland - Ginger Ballis

Marcia Strassman - Margie Cutler

Judy Farrell - various nurses

Enid Kent - Nurse Bigelow

Gwen Farrell - Various nurses

You would have thought that they would have at least had Kelleye Nakahara on. She might have not been a main character, but she made a lot of appearences. Another one that they left out was GW Bailey. He was on the show an awful lot. And BOTH of the characters were on the show more then Allan Arbus was on, but he was on the reunion show.

Judy Farrell, who played various nurses on M*A*S*H is Mike Farrell's ex-wife. As far as I know Gwen Farrell is not related to Mike in any way.

I think the nurses were considered "B" characters, not really part of the main cast.

As for GW Bailey, not sure why he wasn't included, he could've been asked to do it and he declined, or they may not have asked him at all, I dunno.

Biggrin Oh nurse !

Another consideration is, if the 'nurses' were included it would have been that much less time for the major players. How willing would you be to hear what a part time actor had to say vs. a star such as Rogers or Switt ? Sadly, the line had to be drawn somewhere and the nurses lost out.

True. I agree.

However, they did include Allan Arbus (Dr. Sidney Freeman) and Freeman was a recurring character and not part of the regular cast.

Yes, but Sidney was such a memorable character. He wasn't in very many episodes, but he really stuck with you.

They may have also thought about asking Ed Winter(Col. Flagg) but sadly he passed away in 2001

You're right Lauren. Both Sydney Freedman and Col. Flagg were very memorable characters in spite of relatively few appearances on the show. I think that is a real tribute to the actors who played these roles, Allan Arbus and Ed Winter!

The character's name wasn't Colonel Flagg. It was Rabbi Goldberg.
