[QUOTE=Does anyone remember this episode? All I remember is they made a point to talk about how he shaved his pubic hair. It was like at a small airport and he wanted to board the plane and jumped it while it was moving and held on to the wing until he lost his grip and fell to his death. I think he crashed onto a fence.[/QUOTE]

I remember this case. He had been begging everyone to fly him some place and no one would. He became very desperate. I tried to find something about it online but so far no luck.

There's a couple threads on here about him. I'm suspicious of the original poster so I haven't bumped those threads. I don't recall the detail the OP stated and none of the threads on here mention that detail.

I see to recall them mentioning that his 'self care habits' implied that he might be a swimmer, perhaps that's what the poster is referring to above.

Okay, that sounds better. But who knew a feller needed to get that naked to reduce friction in the water. lol

Back in the 80s was the first time I met a guy with shaved legs. When I saw him, I thought it was bizarre and wondered why he was at the party with a female date, then I found out that he was a competetive swimmer.

All that I recall is that with UM being sorta family friendly, they didn't get into so much of that kind of personal detail, like a lot of the other true crime shows do.

IIRC, he was a schizophrenic and was compelled to commit irrational acts because of his mental illness. But I haven't seen the segment in a long time, I could be wrong...

Google the name "Brian Stanley Duecker." That was his actual name. He was positively identified as Brian Duecker in 1999.

Actually, the legs/arms/chest is to reduce friction, the other (shall we call it manscaping?) has more to do with the cut of the Speedos than reduction of friction. I believe they included this detail because knowing that he was a competitive swimmer (if he was) would have been a major clue to family members looking for a lost son/brother.

I remember this case. I saw it a bunch of times on Lifetime. I really felt bad for the guy because he had a mental illness.
