Kristin Chenoweth joins animated comedy Sit Down from 'Arrested Development' creator

With Pushing Daisies looking all but canceled — production on episode 13 ended and no more episodes are expected to be ordered by ABC — a new gig has sprouted up for one of its stars, Kristin Chenoweth. EW.com has learned that she's joined the cast of Fox’s animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up, about the staff at a small-town Florida high school. Chenoweth replaces Maria Bamford (Stuart Little 2) as the voice of science teacher Miracle Grohe (great name!). The series — which is slated to debut in the spring — is exec produced by Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, and its cast boasts Arrested vets Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Henry Winkler, along with Will Forte, Kenan Thompson, Cheri Oteri, Tom Kenny, and Nick Kroll.
