Zac Efron is keen to bring Luke Skywalker to the small screen after toying around with Star Wars props at George Lucas' California mansion. The High School Musical star filmed scenes for his new movie 17 Again at Lucas' museum-like home, Skywalker Ranch, and now he's begging the movie mogul for a leading role in his Star Wars TV series.

Efron tells MovieHole.net, "There were real stormtrooper outfits, real memorabilia from the movie. There were a lot of valuable things we were wrecking in that house. That element, that nerd part of the film, is right up my alley. I was so at home in that house. I would look at everything for hours. I have pictures with Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

"George Lucas is doing a Star Wars TV series? Oh man. I'll have to put in a phone call. Young Skywalker? Yeah... Bring it On!"

Mark Hamill played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars movies.

NOOOO!! Why do we need a new Star Wars series, anyway?? Doesn't George Lucas have a fat enough bankbook??
