Marilyn Manson's New Album "The High End of Low" *The Edited Version Is Crap*
Marilyn Manson Offers Free Song As New Album The High End of Low Lurks
3/24/09, 9:26 am EST Starting Friday, March 27th, Marilyn Manson will offer the new song We’re From America from his upcoming seventh studio album The High End of Low as a free download on his official Website. As Rock Daily previously reported, High End marks the first time bassist Twiggy Ramirez has rejoined Manson for a studio album since 2000’s Holy Wood. The new album is due out May 26th. We’re From America will also be distributed as a digital single starting April 7th. Last month, Manson revealed to the Smoking Section the inspiration behind the album title. “It’s a self-described state of being that I’m in. You’re going to be fu*king freaked. It’s the sh*t.” Manson also talked about the video for High End’s I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies. “It’s nine minutes long,” Manson said. “Severely sadist. Basically, it’s murder, sex, death, the end.” Despite the free release of We’re From America or the video for I Want To Kill You…, the album’s first “official” single will actually be the track Arma… geddon, which hits radio April 13th. Why the ellipsis, you might ask? The track is reportedly actually called Arma-God Damn-Mother Fu*kin’-Geddon. “I think my life definitely ended and began. The record sounds very final, but it’s almost optimistic — though that feels like a strange word to use,” Manson said in a statement. “It’s a phoenix from the fire and a redemption resurrection.” http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdail...-of-low-lurks/ |

![]() Marilyn Manson's 7th studio album, The High End of Low, has a prelimanary release date in the US on May 26th, 2009. Track Listing: 1. "Devour" 2. "Pretty as a Swastika" 3. "Leave a Scar" 4. "Four Rusted Horses" 5. "Arma-Goddamn-Motherfu*kin-Geddon" 6. "Blank and White" 7. "Running to the Edge of the World" 8. "I Want to Kill You Like They Do In the Movies" 9. "WOW" 10. "Wight Spider" 11. "Unkillable Monster" 12. "We're from America" 13. "I Have to Look Up Just to See Hell" 14. "Into the Fire" 15. "15" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listening to some of the tracks from this record I must say I am pleased. It sounds like some of the classic Manson sound is back with this record. Bringing Twiggy back was really great. It sounds like a MAJOR improvement from his last record. The fruit is speechless
before our sorceries the party has just begun Time lapse and dancing and rotting in place, and we have reached the high end of low... After finally listening to the whole album I would say this is probably the best of Manson's recent work. This was a MAJOR improvement compared to his last record. This album has been called "the most tolerable" by many people; meaning it's a lot easy on the ears compared to Manson's other works. The album uses acoustic guitars and piano which hasn't been used much on his previous works. This album is different in style; it has more of a alternative/glam feel to it with not too much industrial. The acoustic on Running To The Edge Of The World is great and it's one of my favorite songs from the record. The more "classic Manson" sounding songs would go to Arma-God-Damn-Mother-****ing-Geddon in which the video pays homage to Manson's previous styles. Pretty As A Swastika is another of the more rougher songs on the album. For hardcore Manson fans I think the feeling is mixed. Some don't like his evolving styles and say everything after Antichrist sucks. My view is that the album has something for everyone. If you pick it up I don't think you will be disappointed. I was quite impressed with it. I don't think it's as good as his earlier works but this is the best of Manson in the 2000s. *The video to Arma-God-Damn-Mother-F*cking-Geddon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkOOuIXLGvM |

Today I heard the censored version of ARMA-GODDAMN-MOTHERF*CKIN-GEDDON and it sounds HORRIBLE.
It completely ruined the song. I didn't know if I should be laughing or crying at how bad this version destroyed the song. Edit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZiXSUJ7YVQ Uncensored - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkOOuIXLGvM |
