Default Popeye's chicken vs. KFC chicken

Anyone a fan of one or the other or both? I like both, but I prefer Popeye's over KFC. I have had both in the past week. I must say, I was a little disappointed with Popeye's. The service could have been better, and their prices didn't impress me, especially for a 3 piece meal. After I ate it, it was so greasy, I felt weary the rest of the day. Popeye's never disappointed me, but that day they did. Though nothing beats their biscuits.

KFC impressed me. I haven't had any in over two years. The prices weren't bad for what you get. I got a 3 piece meal with decents sides orders. Popeye's skimped with their sides. KFC's chicken was pretty spicy and season well, and it wasn't greasy. Oh, and the service was way better than Popeye's! The only complaint I had was their biscuits. They are not golden and buttery like Popeye's.

But I guess after this experience, I will go to KFC more often. I had been missing out on their meals. We only have 1 Popeye's location in our city (use to have 2) and this one has lots of kids employed who don't want to work, maybe that's the difference, but KFC on this occasion, gets the nod!

I gotta go with Popeyes myself. I love their side items and they are more reasonable price wise than KFC. Unfortunatly the Popeyes here closed.

I like Kentucky Fried Chicken's Original Recipe Chicken-greasy, but good and flavorful!

And has anyone heard of Bojangles Chicken? They are a sister chain of
Popeye's with locations in a few Southern states.

I have heard of them, but unfortunately, we don't have them up here.

I like both..heck, love both and unfortunately that is probably why my cholesterol levels were not going down....so I have to forgo both of them! Darnitalltoheck!!!!!

Popeye's--last few times, was too greasy for me, but their mashed potatoes and gravy--OMFG!! so

KFC--love their smoky chipotle chicken and their hot wings. Cole slaw is good too. Mashed taters are kinda substandard IMO.

Surprised no one mentioned Church's Chicken....none close enough to me, but I do like it when I can get some. Which I don't see happening in any good while.

STUPID BAD CHOLESTEROL!!!!!!

We had Church's Chicken, but they left this area in the mid 80s. They were REAL greasy from what I remember.

I have never been to a Popeye's and they aren't any in my area. The Church's Chicken restaurants here are pretty good but I prefer KFC.

yea, I remember that too. I had some maybe 4 months ago, but it was good and it sure was SPICY!!--Popeye's pales in comparison.

Actually, I liked Church's better than both Popeye's and KFC, until the chain left the Chicago area. Now I'm almost exclusively Popeye's - KFC's chicken is too greasy for my tastes, and their sides are to die for!
