Default You're not smart if you dont like the show?

I have nothing against Seinfeld. I just dont find it funny. at all. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person. I dont know why this show doesnt appeal to me. Maybe its the bad acting, the annoying characters, or something. Maybe because I dont reside in the Northeastern USA. But a friend of mine told me if I dont enjoy Seinfeld, then Im not "smart enough" to get it. I get it, I just dont want it !

So does that make me stupid? I have an excellent sense of humor. I love Mama's Family, Three's Company, I Love Lucy, and many other classic TV sit Coms. I like camp.

Slopfeld just doesn't do anything for me.

and that is your right. You are free to to like whatever show you wish. I have never understood people acting like if you don't like their show, you have insulted their first born.

Most times, I say nothing at all and let people enjoy what they enjoy. I have all 5 currently-released seasons' worth of "Hawaii Five-O," and so far, I don't think that anyone's called me on it. No one has said to me, for instance, "Hey, why do you watch that old, dated series from the '70's instead of what's on now?" If I was asked that, the simple answer of mine would be "It's what I enjoy." It's just like chocolate and vanilla-- people are very diverse in their television preferences. Some like 'em old, some like 'em new.

Please list your IQ and SAT scores so we can verify that you are a "fairly intelligent person."

Just kidding Meade, but it sounds like your friend is the only one who thinks there is something wrong with you for not liking the show. Although it may not be the best of manners to come to the Seinfeld board and call it Slopfeld and such. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

Agreed! Coming to a Seinfeld fan board, and bad-mouthing our favorite show, then asking "Am I stupid to say so?" is just asking for trouble.
