Default Is this Show any good,Season 1 wasn't funny

I took a chance because of reviews and bought Season 1 For $35 and thought the show was more drama then comedy.

I thought it was a bit weak because i like those 60 shows like Get Smart,Hogans Heroes, F Troop,Adams Family, Gomer Pyle,Mchales Navy, I Dream Of Jeannie, The Munsters,Beverly Hillbillies and even Bewitched not so much with Dick Sargeant or when Darren wasn't in it and the show was about Samantha.

Mchales Navy first season was weak but the rest was so funny and slapstick.

I thought That Girl was like Jeannie from I Dream Of Jeannie.

I seen Season 2 and 3 for Like $15 each on special but i walked away thinking it be the same romance, blah blah with small laughter there and there.

Is the show to gay for me,you know girly about love and stuff,Bewitched was but they had funny characters like that Uncle Arthur and Darren kept getting punished or losing his mind. That Girl has no one funny,Ann Marie does a few funny things but it's very little.

The first season was dull of That girl, the only funny bit was the Car bit when Ann Marie got mud on that annoying actor.

I like the second season more than the first season. However, since you didn't like the first season, I doubt you would like the rest of the series. The show focuses more on Ann's independence and career than her love life. It's not a supernatural show like I Dream of Jeannie or Bewitched.

Suggestion: Watch an episode or two of a show on YouTube or an official site before you spend a small fortune on a DVD Set.

It sounds like it's just not your cup of tea, which is OK.

I did like S1, mainly cause Bonnie Scott was in it. Among other reasons, obviously!

I liked first season, too. But In some episodes, like "Help Wanted",and "Gone With the Breeze",there was a slight note of bitterness. And the one of the hallmarks of season one was the unaired 1965 pilot film.Harold Gould (Miles of The Golden Girls")was good as her father,in the pilot only,(Lew Parker was also good,as her father in the series),and had a different actress(Penny Santon)as her mother, with Rosemary DeCamp ,who was good as her mother in the series. And the pilot, which, like so many other pilots of that era the "Gilligan's Island"unaired pilot, and the premiere episode-pilot for "The Addams Family"director Arthur Hiller's"The Addams Family Goes to School",bore a strong resemblance to SECOND season episodes, rather than first. Also,Donald had a different last name-not Hollinger, but Blue Sky.
