Did anyone else prefer the very first theme song? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It was the exact same tune, key and lyrics the first 8 or so episodes of the series. The theme was simply entitled "Us" and was sung by Dennis Tuffano and Mindy Sterling. No offense to Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams, but I liked the original version much more than the subsequent one.

I never understood why they felt the need to rerecord the theme with different singers. It was great the way it was.

I have both versions on my iPod, but the original gets way more airplay.
