No matter how many times I see it, the scene with Gilligan in the Howell hut with the head cast on is hysterical!
It's hard to believe that Gilligan wouldn't know what anesthetic was. It's remarkable how the girls can make such perfect looking noses since neither of them is an artist. Wow! I do relate to Gilligan's fear of having the "operation." Poor Gilligan. It seems a little farfetched to me that Maryann gives a speech first announcing her "liking" Gilligan at this stage of the game.....and, did he accept the date or not? When Ginger asks Gilligan for a kiss and he postpones it for two weeks, do you think he actually was amenable to the kiss and being truthful about his nose hurting or was he just trying to get rid of her? Gilligan's joke about the "two pounds" is a good one! What is it with Thirston's obsession with being Dr. Zorba? Same thing in "The Postman Cometh" in Maryann's dream. |

I'm amazed he hasn't got vertigo too, after that terrible fall. That was scary. It seems a little farfetched to me that Maryann gives a speech first announcing her "liking" Gilligan at this stage of the game.....and, did he accept the date or not? I think she's actually over her crush on him at this point, and just trying to cheer him up. But he did seem as though he had accepted the date, since she said, "Until tonight," and he smiled at her. Later, the scene where he overhears that the women were simply playacting and then bitterly flings a stone into his reflection in the water is usually poignant for the series. |
