Default Wish it were easier to come up with good threads

I have such a hard time sometimes coming up with good threads. I find that I usually need some kind of inspiration to come up with my best threads. Usually it's when I go for walks. I'll see something that'll trigger something in my brain, and will come up with something good to talk about, and then I try to remember it until I get home so I can post it. I'm usually the least creative when I'm in my room, because there's no inspiration around me. Do you guys find that you also have ways of getting inspiration for creating new threads?? What do you do when you're in a creative thread slump, and how do you come up with new and creative things to talk about? Any secrets you can give me??

I know what you mean man. I just think up a lot of things. My problem is, I forget things, even if it's not threads, before I get a chance to write em down or express it lol. I think you just gotta find what interets people most, to talk about, that you like as well.

Cool

Sorry Brad I can't help you with that. I usually wait for someone else to start an interesting thread and then I join in. I'm the same way with conversations. I guess I'm a follower not a leader!

Try posting threads with the word Florida in the title.

I find myself responding to threads a lot more than I actually post new ones. I agree that it is often hard to come up with a thread that hasn't been done already. I also find that when I do come up with an idea, Murphy's Law usually kicks in as I am away from the nearest computer.

I use to be that way too, and mostly liked to focus on responding to threads, but lately I've wanted to focus more on creating new and original threads. Like you mentioned though, that's hard to do, since it sometime's seems like everything has been done. I sometimes come up with controversial ideas for threads, but I usually end up refusing to go there, since I hate to cause drama, and I don't ever want to be looked at as an instigator, or troublemaker, cause that's just not me.

I usually will post a new thread from whatever inspires me, or if I am curious to know what people think of a certain topic.

That's pretty much what I do. The only threads I post are news stories or sometimes on the sports board.

i leave it up to others to start good discussions. i usually only post threads if i have a question. i also never broke my habit of using the icon for all the threads i post, unless the topic is serious.
