Default Whats Your Exercise Routine?

Whats your exercise routine, if you have one? For me, I try to go to the gym 6 days a week. Each time I go, I spend about 70 minutes. I use the treadmill, eliptical and the bike. I also do extra walking throughout the week.

I walk about 20 minutes a day, seven days a week. Six out of the seven days I also add on ten more minutes, to make a goal of 30 minutes a day. The extra ten minutes is for pushups, crunches, curls with dumbells, and a few other simple limbering or strength building calisthenics.

(I haven't always stuck with this; when things have gotten busy, or it's too cold outside I haven't been too diligent. For next winter, I'm considering getting some limited gym membership, or getting some sort of treadmill for the days the weather's not good. I haven't decided yet which way I will go on this.)

I hate to exercise, to be honest, but at the same time I recognize the absolute necessity of doing it, in some form or another. This minimum schedule of mine I find do-able. Anything requiring more intensity or time committment would personally bore me in no time, and I wouldn't stick with it. And I cannot speak of exercise without portion control, in my case. I don't have the metabolism of a younger person and so I can't eat unlimited quantities of food. I only overeat on special occasions or weekends. No special diet or anything, but the rest of the time I watch my intake of food. I eat just about anything I want, without overdoing it.

I know I digressed with the food thing. But I think both diet and exercise are so closely linked, that one can't talk about one, I feel, without the other--in terms of overall health.
