Biggrin Surviving Suburbia Tonight on ABC at 9:30!

Who else is excited? This looks great from the clips I've seen.

I'm pumped. I've been looking forward to this premiere for months. The previews I've seen on ABC.com look hilarious. It should get a nice premiere after DWTS. With Bob Saget, and just the fact it's a traditional sitcom, it should get a lot of viewers tuning in out of curiosity.

It didn't really center around her, but I get your drift. Saget's character ends up helping catch his neighbors' curtains on fire, then becomes the neighborhood hero because he says he puts the fire out. What's the other guy that is in the house that catches the curtains on fire? It's a riot. I'm definitely going to be tuning in again.

So how big was the role for the little girl in the first episode?

Well, she's there, but not really a main character. She ends up telling her father he's her hero instead of Zach Efron, a reference earlier in the episode. She's more of a supporting character, IMO. They also have a teenage son, Henry.

I really enjoyed this show. I've watched all the new sitcoms this season, and there was one difference with Surviving Suburbia: I wasn't disappointed with it. In fact, I was left with wanting more. So, I'll definitely be tuning in next week!

It really was a good, cute show. It definitely has a lot of promise. The storylines are simple enough to be funny, with a total reminiscece of a traditional sitcom. We need more shows to be like this on television. Probably my favorite premiere of the entire season.

Bob Saget was great, funny as usual. The show really was an ensemble show I thought, not entirely centered around Saget's character. The girl was cute - she was a strong presence, but nothing like the Olsen twins in Full House-LOL. I thought her parts were just right. Hopefully we'll see more out of the boy, though. He was just kind of "there."

Let's hope it did well in the ratings! I'm thinking it easily enjoyed a high-rated premiere. Solomon, you should definitely give this one a try.

Yeah I will give it another try. So the teenage boy didn't have a lot of speaking parts?

Towards the end he did. He was the one who eventually led Steve to feel guilty about starting the fire I guess. The girl was really only in the beginning and the end for the most part, with the whole "hero" storyline.

No, I thought the girl was a good countercharacter for Steve, how they were able to play off each other like that in the first episode.

I liked the beginning, how they added in that Dancing with the Stars bit. Very clever.
