I recall seeing an episode in which Sofia starts to choke, and Rose asks aloud "Should I get her a glass of water?" Dorothy sarcastically answers something like "No, let's all just sit around and watch her hack herself to death."
Does anyone else remember this episode? For some reason I never seem to catch it in syndication, so it might have been edited out. I think I'm remembering it from it's original run. |

I remember the episode, but I'm not sure on the title right now. It was definitely shown in syndication. I'm not sure about Hallmark, but I know it was shown on Lifetime.

I think the episode is called "Stan Takes a Wife", from season 4. In this ep Sophia is obviously ill and rushed to the hospital and Stan comforts Dorothy. Dorothy then has doubts about letting Stan marry this new woman.

The thing that I am about to mention might seem unrelated to the original topic of this thread, but it is related to the same episode. That is, if we are all, in fact writing about the same episode! The episode ends with Stan getting married to the woman that Dorothy meets in the hotal. If my memory is correct, there is at least one later episode in which the fact that he is presently married gets mentioned. However, somehow, he ends up single again with no explanation! Is is cleariy single when he makes thousands of dollars on his new invention. He even goes as far as asking Dorothy to be his date at the awards ceremony! There is no explanation as to whether his last wife died or left him or what! What do other fans think of this reality?

Thanks for the info - I will have to lookout for that episode. Does anyone know what season that is from?
I agree - the continuity with Stan's "marriages" doesn't hold up. |

Stan's marriages is only one of many things in which this continuity does not add up on this series! I know that I have said this several times before but I would like to say it again because of how many newcomers there are to the site. In my opinion, this show is second only to the "Flintstones" in terms of lack of continuity! |
