Quick Summary: Jo's teacher is raping her and it is up to the gang to stop him. Things become complicated though when a few unexpected turns show up in the rode.
It was a normal day at Eastland School for Girls and Jo was in the kitchen. She was washing the dishes and humming a soft tune. Washing the dishes always helped clear her mind. Sometimes she just had to clear her mind. Correction, she always had to clear her mind; to forget the pain that she’d experienced only a week ago. “Hey Jo,” Blair said as she walked into the bright kitchen. “Blair,” Jo mumbled as she dried the dish in her hand. “Jo, doing the dishes? Voluntarily?” Blair asked as she took a bite from the apple she held in her hand. When Jo didn’t answer Blair shuck her head and left the kitchen. She didn’t hear Jo drop the dish she was washing. Jo’s shoulder’s shuck as tears spilled from her eyes. She hated this, the feeling of weakness that shot through her. How did she let this happen? Why didn’t she hear him behind her? Why couldn’t she stop him? Weakness felt so foreign to her. She was suppose to be the big sister, the hard ass big sister that was always their when you needed her. She was the one that rode a motor bike and wore the leather jacket. She wasn’t supposed to be the weak one. How would she face him again? She couldn’t keep skipping classes. Eventually Mrs. Garret would get on her case and what would she tell her? “Jo, we have class in four minutes,” Blair said as she ran into the deserted kitchen, “and if you don’t come with me today I’m telling Mrs. Garret that you’ve been missing classes.” Jo sighed as she grabbed her books and followed Blair to class ~*~ “Many Jews were killed during the Holocaust. What did Jews try to do to survive?” Mr. Dawson asked as he walked up the row of students. Everyone’s hands shot up except one, Jo’s. “Jo,” Mr. Dawson said as he sat down on his desk. Jo’s head snapped up at the sound of her name. Fear shot through her bloodstream. “U-um, many t-tried to hide, a-and others t-tried to escape the c-concentration camps,” Jo stuttered as she looked at him in fear. “Very good Jo,” Mr. Dawson said with a sickening sweet smile. Jo trembled as she stared down at her textbook. She could feel his eyes on her and it just made her want to cry. “Now does anybody know what year Hitler was born?” Mr. Dawson asked as he looked around the classroom. Jo sank in her chair as the class progressed. It was so hard to try and act normal when the man that had hurt her so much was standing only a few feet away. “Jo?” Jo looked up to see Blair standing their. Her face was sad. “It’s time to go.” Jo blinked as she noticed that she was crying. She quickly wiped them away as she grabbed her books. “Jo, would you wait a minute. Blair, you can go ahead,” Mr. Dawson said as he stared packing his briefcase. “I’ll see you,” Blair said as she walked out. Jo’s eyes pleaded with her as she left, begging her to stay. Jo held back from crying out as Blair closed the door behind her. “Hello Jo,” Mr. Dawson said seductively as he wrapped his arms around Jo’s waist. “What? Don’t you like my touch?” he asked as he felt her tense up under him. “Please,” Jo whispered as tears started to slide down her face, “don’t.” “Why not Jo? You know you love my touch,” Mr. Dawson hissed as he kissed her cheek. “Please leave me alone,” Jo begged as he turned her to face him. “I’ll never leave you alone Jo, unless you want me to turn my attention to Blair or Tootie,” Mr. Dawson threatened in his most loving voice. Jo looked up at him, tears pooling in her eyes. “No, leave ‘em alone, please,” Jo pleaded. “Then are you going to do as I say sweetie?” Mr. Dawson asked her. “Yes,” Jo whispered as tears slid down her red cheeks. “Good girl,” he whispered into her ear. “Sweetie, you know to keep our little relationship a secret, right?” “Yes an’ I will,” Jo told him. “Good, now give me a kiss,” Mr. Dawson told her in a loving voice. Jo leaned in as she kissed his disgusting mouth. “Now get, before someone comes looking for you, and remember Jo, I’m going to give you a tutor lesson at six tonight.” “I’ll be ‘ere,” Jo said as her voice cracked. “Wear something nice, not one of those boy outfits you like so much,” Mr. Dawson demanded. “’kay,” Jo whispered as she walked out of the classroom, tears threatening to fall. ~*~ “Jo, you look like hell,” Blair said as she walked into their bedroom. “You really know how to flatter a girl,” Jo said sarcastically as she lay on her bed with a book in her hand. “Wasn’t trying to,” Blair said as she put her messenger bag on her bed. “I’m late,” Tootie yelled as she ran into the pink bedroom. “For what?” Jo asked. “Where is it?” Tootie asked as she pulled the covers off her bed. “Where’s what?” Jo asked in annoyance. “Where is the thing a megig for the whatcha macallit,” Tootie answered. “Yeah, that cleared everythin’ up,” Jo said as she rolled her eyes. “Hey Jo, it’s almost 5:30, don’t you have a tutor session or something?” Blair asked as she stared at the clock. She didn’t miss the look of panic that flashed across Jo’s face as Tootie ran out. “Yeah, which reminds me Blair, I need to borrow a dress,” Jo said as she stood up. “Um, sure,” Blair said as she walked over to her trunk. She opened it and pulled out a blue dress that fell to the knees. “Thanks Blair,” Jo said quietly as she shed her school uniform and pulled on the dress. “Jo? Is something wrong?” Blair asked as she put her hand on Jo’s shoulder. Jo stood there for a moment, wanting nothing more then to break down and tell her the truth, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t let him hurt them. “No Blair, nothin’s wrong,” Jo said as she walked out the door to what was probably going to be the worst night of her life. A/n I hope you guys like it. It's my first facts fic so I'm really nervous a about it. |

I am really amazed. You are doing an INCREDIBLE job of giving us insight into Jo's mind and thoughts. I can understand posting your first fanfic can be nerve-racking (sp.??) It was for me too, but I think you're doing great. I am REALLY looking forward to your next chapter. It's already so moving! You have a good grasp on the characters too...I could really see Tootie saying "The thing-a-megig for the whatcha-ma-callit" and Jo saying, "Yeah, that cleared everything up," just as if it were a real FOL episode. I know I just said this, but I am looking forward to your next chapter.

Chapter 2 – Hurt
(Jo’s POV) I woke up as the alarm clock went off. My head hurt, my stomach felt sick, my limbs ached, and particularly my low section was sore, but I managed to get out of bed. I wanted to cry as the memories of last night filled my aching head. “M-Mr. Dawson,” I whimpered as he wiped away the tears on my face. “Was that so bad Jo?” he asked as he kissed my cheeks. I wanted to tell him it hurt worse then he could ever imagine, but thinking of Blair and Tootie, I said: “No.” “Good baby,” he whispered seductively in my ear. “Mr. Dawson, my roommates will worry about me if I’m not back by curfew,” I told him as his kisses started to turn south again, like once wasn’t humiliating enough. “Perfectly right Jo,” he purred as he stroked my cheek. For a second I was afraid he still wouldn’t let me go, but then he got off me. I suddenly screamed as his hand collided with my face, right to the left of my left eye. “Aren’t you forgetting something?” he asked me sternly. “I love you,” I whispered as I bowed my head in shame. His devil’s face softened at the words as he kneeled before me. I flinched as he kissed my cheek. “I love you to, baby.” His voice made me shudder as she kissed the forming bruise. “I don’t like to hurt you Jo, but you have to obey me or pay the consequences,” he told me gently, almost lovingly… almost. “Jo!” I looked up at the screech that came from Blair. I suddenly remembered the very conspicuous bruise. “Blair, I just fell,” I said as I tried to laugh it off. “Jo, you don’t get that from a fall,” Blair told me. “Lay off Blair,” I yelled at her as she stepped closer. “But Jo—” Blair started. “I said lay off!” I told her, anger evident in my voice. I could tell that Blair got the message as she backed away. “I’m just worried about you Jo, you’ve been different lately,” Blair said softly. “Just lay off,” I told her, softly this time. I grabbed my uniform and walked out of the room. (Blair’s POV) I watched as Jo exited our room, tears in her eyes. I turned to look at Natalie and Tootie. “I’m scared,” Tootie whispered as she looked at the door that Jo had just run out of. Natalie nodded in agreement. “Jo is scared at everything that goes bump in the night, we have to find out what did this to her,” I said sadly as I racked my brain, trying to narrow down the time this could have started. “Come on guys, let’s go to class, we’ll talk to Mrs. Garret if we can’t think of anything by then,” I said as I grabbed my school bag. ~*~ As Jo and I walked towards our rooms, I noticed that Jo wasn’t complaining about the fact that I’d been raving on and on about my date with Charlie two nights ago. “Jo, are you sure you’re ok?” I asked as I grabbed her arm. She turned to look at me. “Blair,” she warned. I almost screamed at the look she gave me. It wasn’t the glare I usually got, her eyes were… empty… lifeless… and… broken. “Leave me alone,” she hissed. She pulled her arm from my grasp and walked quickly down the hall. Her feet fell heavily as she walked. I nearly yelled for the second time in the day as Natalie and Tootie pulled me into the kitchen. “You guys trying to give me a heart attack?” I whisper yelled as I glared at the two before me. “Blair, you have to come see,” Natalie said as she and Tootie grabbed each of my arms. They dragged me up the stairs and into our room. “What is it?” I asked as I looked around the bedroom. Tootie walked over to Jo’s bed and pulled a bag out from under. She opened it and pulled out the blue dress I’d leant Jo; blood covered the skirt. “Oh my,” I gasped as I took the dress from Tootie’s hands. “Quick, hide it!” I yelled throwing the dress back into the bag as I heard footsteps ascend the stairs. Tootie stuffed the bag under Jo’s bed and we all ran in our separate directions. “Hey Jo,” Tootie greeted as Jo walked through the door. Jo ignored her as she fell on her bed, not even bothering to take off her uniform. “You ok Jo?” Natalie asked as she looked at the lump on the mattress that was Joanna Polniaczek. “Why does everyone keep askin’ me that?” Jo asked into her pillow. “Cause you’re acting… different,” I told her as I sat down on my bed across from her. ~*~ As Jo, Natalie, Tootie, and I sat at our table eating dinner, none of us could help but notice how quiet Jo was. I suddenly found myself missing that girl I met all those years ago. The one that rode the motorbike, wore the leather jacket, and got in trouble with fake ID’s. “Jo, are you going to watch the picture that’s on tonight?” I asked. “No,” Jo stated plainly. “But Jo, it’s supposed to be a great film,” I said as I tried to convince her. Jo really needed something to help her perk up and what could be better then blood and gore? “Whatever Blair, I’m not watchin’ it.” “It’s a horror flick,” I tried again. “Blair…” Jo warned me as she stood up. “But…” “BLAIR!” Jo yelled as she glared at me. I quickly backed off, knowing if I continued that Jo would hit me. “Alright,” I relented “I gotta go,” Jo said as she stood up and ran up the stairs that lead to their room. “I think we need to talk to Mrs. Garret,” I finally said as I looked up the stairs that Jo had just disappeared up. “Yeah,” Tootie agreed as she looked down at her plate. All of us looked up as the door slammed. Jo was running down the stairs, she wore one of my pink tops, a green skirt, and my green heals with pink bows on them. “Was that Jo?” Natalie asked as she stared at me. “I’m not sure,” I said as I stood up and walked over to the entrance of the cafeteria. I watched as Jo ran down the hall like her tail was on fire. “Hi girls,” Mrs. Garret greeted as she entered the cafeteria from the kitchen. “Mrs. Garret, we need to talk to you,” I told her as I walked over to her. “What about Blair?” the older woman asked me as she set a vase of flowers on the counter. “About Jo.” “What about Jo?” “I think she’s in trouble.” |

Still excellent. I liked how you switched to Blair's point of view, it sucks to watch your best friend go through something tough, especially when you have no idea what they're going through. I hope that SOB Mr. Dawson gets caught soon!

Chapter 3 – Enceinte
(Jo’s POV) I ran down the hallway, tears running down my face, bruises covering my face and skin. I just wanted to run; I wanted to forget about what just happened. How could I have been so stupid? How could I have forgotten? I only came to my senses when I bumped into someone. “Aren’t you suppose to be in your dorm?” a male voice asked me. “I’m s-sorry,” I stuttered as I looked up. A boy who looked to be in his late teens was staring down at me. His hair was shaggy and dirty blonde and his eyes were a beautiful green. “Hey,” he said as his finger slipped under my chin and pushed it up so I was looking at him, “why are you crying?” he asked, his eyes softening even more and his face growing sad. “Why do you care?” I asked through my tears. “Because I had a sister who looked a lot like you. She was very close to my heart and I always hated to see her cry, that’s why,” he told me gently. I knew he was lying, but I was touched anyway. “You’ll be in danger if I tell you,” I cried. His eyes turned livid as he stared down at me. “Why? What’s going on?” he asked me, his voice was loving but stern. “Please let me go,” I begged as I tried to break free from his grip. “Tell me. Let me protect you.” I was surprised at the tone of his voice. It was almost as if he was pleading with me. (Boy’s POV) I stared down at the girl before me. She looked so broken and helpless and… scared. She kept looking over her shoulder as if something where following her. I’d fed her the story of her reminding me of my sister to try and gain some trust. I did have a sister who’d died, she’d been ten at the time, but she looked nothing like this girl. Her hair had been blonde and she’d had blue eyes. I bit my lip as an old memory consumed me for the thousandth time since her death. “Just three more years Mathew,” Julie exclaimed as she skipped around the room, “then I’ll be going to Eastland.” She leaped into the air and landed gracefully at my side. “Yup, you’ll be top of your class, I know it,” I said with a smile as I picked her up and put her on the counter. “Are you sure you’re ten? You’re really light,” I teased as I got a mug and poured myself a cup of coffee. “Mathew,” Julie said with a laugh. “Want anything angel?” I asked her. “No, I’m going to go to Ann’s,” Julie told me as she hopped off the counter. “Kay angel,” I called as she opened the door. “Are you ok?” I looked down to see the brunette staring at me. “Yeah, I’m fine. Look, if you’re not going to tell me what’s wrong, at lest let me walk you to your dorm,” I told her, giving her my best smile. “That sounds fair,” she agreed as she pulled from my light grasp. “So, where are you from?” I asked, deciding conversation might ease her mood some. “The Bronx,” she answered without hesitation. I was stunned, but not surprised. “You?” “Lakewood,” I told her. “Rich guy,” she stated. I nodded. “Yeah, but I get a 300 dollar allowance every year,” I told her. “Do you have any brothers?” she asked as she twirled her hands. “No, I had a sister though, she died three years ago,” I told her sadly. “I’m sorry, how’d she die?” she asked me. “She was at her friend, Ann’s and they went to play in the park. Our neighborhood was the safest in the country, so they didn’t go with anyone. Julie went to use the bathroom and never came back. Ann went to go see what was taking her so long after half an hour and she found my sister on the floor of the bathroom, without cloths and a red marks around her neck. I’ll never forget that day. Mom had died when Julie was born and Dad was in Africa so they called me to identify the body. I was only fourteen. I was with some friends when I answered the phone. I just cried and dropped the phone. I’ll never forget her face when I saw her again. Her beautiful hair was out in all directions and her eyes were open and glazed over. Her head was twisted so her head was almost facing the wrong way and there were horrible strangle marks on her neck.” I sighed as I finished. I turned to see the brunette to my right stunned into silence. Her hand was up by her hair as she played with a strand. “Did they ever find the person who did it?” she asked after a few minutes. I shock my head. “To this day I’m still looking and I’ll never stop,” I told her firmly. “This is as far as you can take me, good night,” she whispered as she stepped into the cafeteria. “Hey,” I called after her as she opened the door to the kitchen. “What?” “What’s your name?” “Jo,” she told me in the softest voice I’d ever heard. Then she disappeared through the door. “Jo,” I whispered. Earlier… (Blair’s POV) Tootie, Natalie, and I had explained everything to Mrs. Garret. She’d been very concerned and told us to keep the information that we knew to ourselves for now and to go easy on Jo while she tried to get to the bottom of this. After two hours of studying I decided it was time to take a shower and go to bed. As I walked into the bathroom I noticed something sticking out of the waste basket. Being the curious person I am, I plucked it out of the garbage can. My face turned ghostly white as I recognized the white plastic. “Mrs. Garret!” I screamed as I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. Tears sprang into my eyes as I handed it to her. “Oh my,” she gasped as she noticed the crossed lines. “Jo’s pregnant,” I cried, “Enceinte!” “What?” Natalie asked as she stared at me. “It’s ‘pregnant’ in French,” I explained before turning to Mrs. Garret. “Jo told me only a month ago that she was going to wait until she got married. She wouldn’t have done anything to get her pregnant willingly,” I cried. “Girls, I want you to go to bed. Blair, turn off your alarm, none of you are going to school tomorrow, we’re going to find out what’s going on with Jo,” Mrs. Garret told us. Tootie put a comforting arm around me as she led me up the stairs. “It’s ok Blair, Jo’s not alone. We’re going to help her through this,” Tootie reassured me. I wasn’t so sure. It’s not that I wouldn’t help Jo; I’m just not sure if she’ll let me. “You know Blair, Jo being pregnant could be a good thing,” Natalie told me as she sat down on her bed. “How?” I asked her as tears streamed down my face. “It’ll give you an excuse to go shopping.” I couldn’t help but laugh at that. A/n I'm not quite happy with this one. It seemed a little OC to me. |
