It took a a few months, but People magazine has finally published an article on the murder of Joyce McClain. It begins on page 107 of the current issue (April 13 issue).
The article mentions that it was on UM, as well as the campaign that was done to convince the show to do a segment on the case. As you'll recall, Robert Stack acknowledged this at the beginning of the segment. Last fall, there was talk of possibly America's Most Wanted doing a segment on Joyce's murder. So far, that hasn't happened. But that's not to say that AMW might never feature the case. When a story idea is proposed, it is not unusual for it to take a number of months to materialize. In any event, I am glad that the case is getting public attention again. |

Thanks for letting us know, Kane. I'm grocery shopping today so I'll check it out while I'm waiting in line.

That's great. Thanks again for letting everyone know. I was always really impressed by the people of East Millinocket and their determination to see Joyce's murder solved. It's a real testament to what sort of community that is, and it should be a model for those everywhere with unsolved crimes.

I just read the article about Joyce McClain. They showed what her mom looks like now. She looks great for what she went through. They said that Wendy McClain (Joyce's sister) moved away from East Millinocket because of the nightmares that kept plaging her.
