I hear ya. We are getting very frustrated with Spike and it's reaching the boiling point where we must take Peter Finch's advice about saying we're "mad as hell!"

I agree I am going to say I am mad as hell... of all the Networks in the world we end up with wack azz Spike..As the new home of our beloved show, then we get nothing but old reruns and poor production.. The damn host is narrating the segments word for word as the late grate Robert Stack.. and the changes they did make we horrible.. What is the point of watching this hot mess when most of us have recorded versions of what I have started to refer to as THE REAL UNSOLVED MYSTERIES!! I say we flood the network with phone calls, emails, and letters stating that we want Unsolved Mysteries back the way it was with new segments.. The idea that the show now is for entertainment purposes is sick to me, there is nothing entertaining about the stories profiled on USM. I mean look at the long run America's Most Wanted has had and with a steady Network.. I guess having John Walsh as they crusade behind the show has really helped with its longevity..... I mean I am so disappointed with this farce of re launch of one of my favorite shows, that I refuse to watch it on Spike I refuse to continue to give that network any ratings when with out warning at the drop of a dime they BO pull the shows time slot for CSI damn how many networks are going to run the CSI franchise into the ground.. I got nothing against CSI... but I would at least been satisfied if they put the show on another time slot.. oh well BOTTOM LINE SPIKE SUCKS!!!!!!!

Love the name, Kingdom Come. It was the greatest comic arc of all time.

Count me in as someone fed up with Spike's treatment of Unsolved Mysteries. Just give it a set time and I'll be happy.

What's been the driving force behind AMW's longevity is law enforcement. If Fox were to try to get rid of it again, they would not only piss off family members of victims, they would piss off damn near every law enforcement agency in the United States.

It was gone for about a month, but due to letters from people and law enforcement they brought it back.

Not everyone is so fortunate to have recordings. And TPTB (both here and UM's producers) don't want anyone to see those originals. We must be brainwashed into thinking that Dennis Farina was the one and only host of Unsolved and they only did the cases they have shown on Spike so far. It wasn't on for several years weekly on different TV networks or anything. And there aren't any other unsolved crimes since the 1990s, either. Everything in the world is peaceful and all criminals get caught, so no need to make new episodes with new cases. And they feel no need to show stupid cases like Joyce McLain or The Baskins or Nyleen Kay Marshall on Unsolved, either.

I just pretend that Spike never started the new version, and that all we have are memories of Stack and his well-filmed narratives. Kinda like the Bible...no one's making new books for it these days, either.

Oh well, I just thought of something. I guess you can compare the new UM to the Book of Mormon. LOL

My apologies to any Mormons who post here.

It's really sad how Spike's treating the show, and I agree...the new UM seems to be more about showing off special effects than anything.
I am one of those people who doesn't have any reruns on tape, so I rely on Spike to give me my UM fix...unfortunately, it's never on, and when it is on, it's random and not consistent. The new UM obviously pales in comparison to the old, but at least it was something....I mean, now we just get CSI marathons.

It's even worse than that. It's like being a heroin addict, and you pay your dealer for a fix, but all he gives you is a store brand tylenol and a CD of his little brother's garage band.
