Default If Adam (that's me!) Was in Charge of NBC!!

This is the schedule I came up with. I should note that no schedule would turn the ratings around and put NBC on top. The only thing that can do that is time. This schedule would hopefully attract new viewers who would by next season put us in the top two. This is just to leave behind Zucker's work and begin our journey forward.

I've cut down Jay Leno's time (sorry Jay, you shouldn't have stayed with NBC). Instead of five times a week, he's on three times.

You'll notice there are NO reality shows.

**NBC: Fall 2009**

Sundays
8:00 - (New Situation Comedy)
8:30 - (New Situation Comedy)
9:00 - (New Situation Comedy)
9:30 - (New Situation Comedy)
10:00 - Lipstick Jungle
11:00 - The News
11:30 - (New Late Night Talk Show)

More comedies is our thing at NBC this season. Since we were lacking in that department, NBC Sundays has four brand new three-camera sitcoms. Followed by "Lipstick Jungle", which may have been canceled, I'm not sure. But I'm assuring it another season. After the news, we'll debut a Sunday only late night talk show. Not sure who the host would be, but we'd know before it debuts, lol.

Mondays
8:00 - Heroes
9:00 - Medium
10:00 - Dollhouse (We bought this from FOX, who I'm sure will cancel it)
11:00 - The News
11:30 - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
12:30 - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
1:30 - Last Call with Carson Daly

Mondays start with "Heroes" followed by "Medium". The big news is that we've stolen "Dollhouse" from FOX, which I'm pretty confident will be canceled. We hope it gets better ratings being on a better night. And maybe in the coming seasons, we can develop a friendly relationship with Joss Whedon and he can create a new show for NBC!

Tuesdays
8:00 - The Office
8:30 - My Name Is Earl
9:00 - (New Situation Comedy)
9:30 - 30 Rock
10:00 - The Jay Leno Show
11:00 - The News
11:30 - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
12:30 - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
1:30 - Last Call with Carson Daly

This is where the Thursday comedies went. In my mind, Thursday was always #1 for NBC and Tuesday was always their #2. So I wanted to keep Tuesdays as a big comedy night. "The Office", "My Name Is Earl", and "30 Rock" have moved to Tuesday, with a brand new single camera comedy. "Jay Leno" gets his first night of the week, hoping to top off a night of comedy, with Leno.

Wednesdays
8:00 - Life
9:00 - Friday Night Lights
10:00 - (New Drama)
11:00 - The News
11:30 - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
12:30 - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
1:30 - Last Call with Carson Daly

Originally I had this night as three all new dramas. But I decided to change it. "Life" heads the night. "Friday Night Lights" which bombs on Fridays (because Fridays are terrible for high ratings), I'm moving it to Wednesday to see how many more viewers it attracts. The primetime night ends with a brand new drama.

Thursdays
8:00 - Chuck
9:00 - (New Situation Comedy)
9:30 - (New Situation Comedy)
10:00 - The Jay Leno Show
11:00 - The News
11:30 - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
12:30 - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
1:30 - Last Call with Carson Daly

Our new Thursday nights kicks off with "Chuck". That's followed by two brand new sitcoms. They will be three-camera sitcoms. "Jay Leno" tops off the primetime night. Which is then followed by the news, Conan, Fallon and Carson.

Fridays
8:00 - Kings
9:00 - Dateline NBC
10:00 - The Jay Leno Show
11:00 - The News
11:30 - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien
12:30 - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
1:30 - Last Call with Carson Daly

We know people aren't home Fridays. Or at least ratings dictate that. So I'm just slapping "Kings" and "Dateline NBC" together. I didn't put much care onto this night. Maybe *next* season, I'll try something to actually attract ratings. Oh, yeah, and "Jay Leno" gets his third night of the week on Friday.

Saturday
8:00 - Law & Order
9:00 - Law & Order: SVU
10:00 - Law & Order: Criminal Intent
11:00 - The News
11:30 - Saturday Night Live

I know "Law & Order" is a popular franchise and maybe it's dumb to put them all together on one night. But it's either this or I cancel all three shows (at at least let USA air original episodes of 'SVU' and 'CI'). And of course, "SNL" is still on the schedule.

Nice schedule. I like the no reality show concept.

Since you're running things now, could you bring back My Own Worst Enemy?

I liked that show.

Also, bring back Knight Rider and cancel it again.

Thanks. High five.

Midseason.

And as for Knight Rider, I could advertisde that "Knight Rider" is coming back!!! And then air a rerun of the classic David Hasseloff series, lol. And after the episode, go "What? There was another 'Knight Rider'? I don't think so!"

Not too bad . I'm glad you kept Chuck on the schedule. It's the best thing on NBC right now. It's too bad that nobody's watching it.

7 new sitcoms. 3 returning sitcoms. That's 10 sitcoms on my schedule. I have to admit, I've never seen any of the non-sitcoms here, so I don't know which ones go well together. Just be glad I brought them back at all, lol.

Nice with the situation comedies - axe all the single-cam shows like 30 Rock and The Office (which are not the hits NBC makes them out to be), and get back the multi-cam sitcoms, and that's all NBC needs to do to get out of last place. IMO, it's the sitcoms and the bad dramas that are keeping them in the whole.

I'd keep the reality shows, just because like Biggest Loser and to a lesser extent, Celebrity Apprentice, they're doing well for the network.

I guess NBC aired too many multi-camera clunkers in the late 90s and into the 2000s. They had more success with the single camera shows. However, that's clearly not working anymore. Keep some around. But yeah, all but one of my new comedies I'd add to the schedule are multi-camera sitcoms. Tuesday is single camera night, while Sunday and Thursday are multi-camera sitcoms.

And as for the reality shows, I'm still proud of the "zero reality show" campaign I have. Though I wouldn't be opposed to letting USA air new episodes of any of those shows.

I wouldn't mind seeing sitcoms on Sundays again. I think CBS should do it - a nice comedy hour maybe on Sundays at 8pm. It's a shame they've ditched mutli-cams. That's just another point of how stupid Zucker really is. Seeing how successful CBS is with their sitcoms, you'd think they'd follow, but they won't. Not sure if it's stupidity or just stubborness.

And you know NBC would never get rid of Biggest Loser now - it gains a million viewers this season and all of a sudden its one of their top shows.

Knight Rider did OKAY this season - better in the fall than in the winter. Maybe for next season, since NBC has 3 open hours on Saturdays to fill, Knight Rider could be an option for Saturday.

Adam, you should forward your schedule to NBC and see if they listen.

Was it on Wednesdays before, lol? I didn't know. I just randomly scheduled it there, because JT said the show did well on Monday. But I already had my Monday mapped out, so I gave it Wednesday.
