I certainly agree with you there. I won't waste my time reading posts like that.

Before people start blasting me for being insensitive, let me just say that I work in special education and I would never allow a student to pass in a paper that looked like the first post in this thread.

Frasier I just started watching recently. It's very funny. I like it a lot.

Roseanne - I started watching it recently, mainly b/c it's not being overplayed as it once was. Some episodes were surreal.

This isn't one of your students in your classroom, it is a message board where members come to post for fun. They shouldn't be picked on for their spelling and grammar, that was NOT the point of Tubehead's thread.

The Office (and I love it!).

---Is it ok to put an exclamation point inside the closing parenthesis?

I totally agree...what is wrong with people these days? Good God. I don't come into a thread to read criticisms from the grammar police.

Back to the subject of the thread, one show I just started watching was the Big Bang Theory. I love it. It gives me hope for the future of sitcoms.

Scrubs -- although I've watched some episodes in the past and thought it was OK, I'm now watching (and enjoying!) both new and in syndication.

I have to agree. While it would be a perfect world if everyone knew perfect spelling and grammar, it isn't. It's also against the rules of SO to criticize someone for it. Remember, this is a wide world and not everyone can write or speak well. That's not what we're here for.

Anyway, you guys probably won't recognize the show, but I've just started watching The Mercer Report on CBC television. It's sort of like Canada's version of the Jon Stewart show. It's a riot!

I wanted to get into BBT but it's something about the Sheldon character that stops me from doing that-lol

(I'm an English teacher, but one of the rules here is not to criticize others' spelling or grammar. The classroom is a different setting.)

As to the thread, we've been watching Kings on NBC for the last two Sundays. I really like it. It's loosely based on the biblical David/Goliath/Saul/ story, but with a modern spin to it.
