Exclamation Kurt Russell Turns Down a Part in Sylvester Stallone's Epic, "The Expendables!"

Sylvester Stallone has rounded up one hell of a cast for his punch-packed passion pic “The Expendables” – aside from himself, there’s Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture and Arnold Schwarzenegger (who will shoot a cameo in Los Angeles for the film in a month’s time or thereabouts). Is there anyone Sly’s forgotten to call?

Seems not. Sly’s been through his little black-book and then some. Just because we won’t see them on screen doesn’t mean they weren’t asked. In addition to Jean Claude Van Damme (who knocked back a role in the film), Stallone tells StalloneZone that he did offer his old “Tango & Cash” co-star Kurt Russell a piece of the action too. Unfortunately Goldie’s beau nixed the offer.

I know that many people on the site have asked for Kurt Russell. I asked for him too. Actually, I was taken aback when asked to put the request in a letter and send it to his agent. Subsequently, I was called back by the agent several days later after refusing to send a letter and he said Kurt Russell is not interested in ‘ensemble acting’ at this time.

So, People, I came, I saw, I failed.

Best,
Sly

Who is Randy Couture? I wanna see this when it comes out. Sylvester got some good actors for this action flick. What is the movie about? Is Sylvester directing it? Well i guess that's a stupid question to ask if he's directing it since he's putting the movie together LOL.

Randy Couture is an MMA fighter. The movie synopsis from IMDB is A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. Yes, Stallone will direct it.

Do you think this is gonna be a straight to video flick when it comes out? Sylvester's Rocky and Rambo last movies came to the theatres but he's been doing straight to video stuff for awhile. Have you seen his Shade movie with Jamie Foxx, Melanie Griffith, Gabriel Byrne, Thandie Newton? That's a real good flick and people slept on it because it's straight to video.

No, with this big cast and even bigger budget, I am almost 100% sure that The Expendables will be released in theaters. I have not seen Shade, but I'll check it out for sure.

What happened to Melanie Griffith's face? LOL. She isn't as cute as she used to be. Is Antonio Banderas still her husband? She was hot back in the day. I saw this straight to video movie she did with Rachel Leigh Cook called Tempo. The movie sucks but i like one scene when Melanie had on only a t-shirt and some shorts and she was barefoot. She was sitting on the kitchen counter talking to her boyfriend while he was cooking breakfast. Her boyfriend looked too young for her. She has nice looking feet and legs. Another straight to video movie by Sylvester you should check out is Eye See You. That was pretty good. He did another straight to video movie i was very disappointed in called Avenging Angelo with Anthony Quinn and Madeleine Stowe(she was hot back in the day. What happened to her?).

I think in regards to Melanie Griffith, booze and drugs did her in.

Have you seen Sylvester's Get Carter movie with Mickey Rourke and Michael Caine? Mickey whipped his ass pretty bad hahahahahahahahaha. I've never seen Sylvester get his ass whipped that bad except Rocky movies. My favorite Sylvester movies are Rambo First Blood part 2, Cobra, Rocky IV. Cobra is so hard. The bad guys in that movie were scary looking. The bad guy who was the leader of the gang had a small part in the first Terminator. Arnold asked him for his clothes and he laughed but Arnold ended up taking his clothes hahahahahahahahahaha.
