Former host Karl Malden is 97 today!
Most sources say that Karl Malden was born on March 22, 1912. If those sources are correct, then that means Karl Malden is celebrating his 97th birthday!
As most of us know, he was the second person to host Unsolved Mysteries. Of course, Raymond Burr hosted the very first special in January 1987. After that Karl Malden hosted the next two specials before being permanently replaced by Robert Stack. His life isn't the only thing of his that has longevity. His marriage does too. He married his wife Mona on December 18, 1938. Well, guess what? Seventy years and three months later, they are still married!  Happy birthday, Mr. Malden!

God bless the Maldens. I just recently saw some Streets of San Francisco episodes and see why he is held in such high regard. May this be his best birthday ever!!
