Default How Would You Want Your Death Dealt With If You Were on a TV Show?

I'm putting this here, rather than the general TV boards because it's more of a personal thing instead of just TV talk. But Mods, feel free to move it to a more appropriate place if you see fit.

**Onto the Topic**
If you were a cast member of a popular ensemble show, and you died suddenly, how would you like the show to deal with your death? I know you wouldn't get any say in it, lol. But it's just a discussion we can have.

I'd like them to kill off my character, have a nice memorial episode for my character and continue to (hopefully) be a successful show without me.

This may sound corny, but maybe have a musical montage at the end of my "death episode" featuring the best of Adam (or whatever my character's name would be) to a nice song.

I'd also like to be mentioned (even if it's only briefly) in the show's final episode. Just so I'm not forgotten in the end.

What about you?

I would want the show to kill off my character. I wouldn't like the idea of my character somehow disappearing. on the show. I would want the writers to give my character a logical death and somehow tie loose ends to any characters I'm connected with. I too would hope the show would continue to be successful after my death

i'd want my character killed off in an intriguing way. maybe getting so fed up up with life that she commits suicide by listening to a fall out boy CD on repeat until she dies of blood loss from the ears.

So far, no one wants to have their character replaced with a different actor, like when Alice Pearce died and Sandra Gould took over the role of Gladys Kravitz in "Bewitched." Or have their character vanish without explanation. Or to have the show simply end because of their death.

Hmm, interesting.

I'd like to be replaced, and have the show continue on for about as many years as I was on. I'd like my replacement to be a good fit, but have viewers debate who was the better character for decades to come, i.e. the Darrins on Bewitched. I'd like the question to become a fixture in pop culture. I'd want to be the winner in all the poll questions though, like the first Darrin is, I believe.

I would want it announced that my plane was shot down over the Sea of Japan, it spun in, and there were no survivors.

Oh wait, that death scene was already done. Plus, I really don't want to be killed off. Can't they just say I won the lottery or entered the Witness Protection Program or something?

They could write you off any way, I was just seeing how people would *want* to be written off. It would be nice that if you died your character could live on. That way you both wouldn't die. But in my case, I figure, everyone knows I'm dead, so this is a way to both honor my memory and mourn the loss. They could cry real tears. Tears for the character, but really tears for me. I feel like I'm all full of myself, lol.

And Janice, don't worry, you're be much better than your replacement. Although, she did have her moments too.

Replacing me would be like trying to replace Lowell on Wings, or Trapper on MASH.

They'd just go on without me.

Kill me off. (I decided to try going over Niagara in a barrel and it didn't work out). No one can play me but me. I don't want another actor to try and take over my part. They can have someone else come in as my sister/cousin/whatever and pick up where I left off (it'd have to be Kate Winslet or someone equally fabulous). No one else gets my spot!

I also expect a memorial show, a dvd featuring "the best of" and recognition at the Emmys, Golden Globes, and Oscars.

I would want to be killed off a show by being abducted by aliens and taken to planet Zoorbadoorb.
