Yes, that's right. The car ended up in Jamaica, Queens. I don't know if/how Prieto was connected to that area.

Regardless of how scummy that guy is, that was a very clever way to get rid of the vehicle and destroy evidence/contaminate a crime scene. Yeah, I wonder too how he was connected to that area. That isn't a place you just go to on a whim. Jamaica Queens is very dangerous even during the daytime. He had to be confident enough and familiar enough to go there, especially to ditch a car and go on foot.
