I know you all are tired of threads about deaths, illness and other things but if you don't like then don't answer.
Have you had a Teacher who lost a Love One? I have had only one. My math teacher lost his dad last week. I bought him a card on Wednesday. |

Never a teacher we didn't know anything about their personal lives. I have though, lost my Mom 2 years ago and I'm still grieving over her death.

My 6th - 8th grade teacher, was a fortyish-year-old man. In 7th grade, he lost his brother to cancer. His first day back, he was up in the front of the classroom, obviously, and I could tell he was about to burst into tears.
He's a good guy. If it wasn't for him, I would have failed the 7th grade. He really took the time to help me out. |

A couple of years ago one of my professor's lost his sister to cancer and it took a toll on him. He shared a lot about her with us. She died the last week of the semester and my professor even cried in class for us.

I actually had a teacher, who didn't lose a loved one, but died herself in cancer.
