Dear Nick at Nite Viewer Services,
I have a proposal for Nick at Nite: to make a deal with NBC Universal Television Distribution for Nick at Nite to become the exclusive home of the hit 1990-1996 sitcom "Dream On," which was created by acclaimed film director John Landis. The show focused on Martin Tupper (played by Brian Benben), a recently divorced 32-year-old New York City book editor who shared custody with his ex-wife Judith (played by Wendie Malick) of their 11-year-old son Jeremy (played by Chris Demetral). Other characters on the show included Toby Pedalbee (played by Denny Dillon), Martin's secretary; Eddie Charles (played by Dorien Wilson), the host of a Geraldo Rivera-type talk show; and Gibby Fiske (played by Michael McKean), Martin's boss at work. Tentatively, Nick at Nite shall add "Dream On" to its regular schedule on Monday, June 1, 2009 with a week-long salute to the show titled "Nick at Nite Dreams On," showcasing all 120 episodes of the show as first seen on the HBO Television Network. The first 4 nights shall feature 18 episodes a night, followed by 16 the last three nights, with Nick at Nite going dark at 5 a.m. ET/PT. Then, after the marathon, Nick at Nite shall showcase repeats of "Dream On" weeknights with back-to-back episodes at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Sincerely, Grundoon Katt |
