Here's some pics of jewelry I make. There's necklaces, bracelets, anklets, chokers and keychains / Zipper Pulls. Would you buy or wear / use anything like this and if so, what would you be willing to pay (keep in mind of the exchange rate, lol)?
Some of the pictures could be better - some colours look slightly different probably but close enough..... I need to resize a bunch, so more to come in a bit... |

I found a site the other day called Tinypic. You can upload your photos and there is a drop down menu and you can choose what size you want to resize your picture to. Then you can send them to your desktop(or wherever you prefer) and they're ready to be uploaded to S.O. By the way I know nothing about jewelry but I think pieces you posted are beautiful.

I think they're really pretty! However, it'd be fun if you did something in hemp. A simple hemp choker/necklace with a few beads in it... I'd definitely buy one from you if you made one! I'm not the jewelry type, but my mom would definitely buy from you - she LOVES jewelry-making (mainly beading) so I bet she would love some of the things you've made.
![]() It's hard to tell, due to my weird monitor, but is the first pic hemp? |

Actually, about half of them (all of the keychains and zipper pulls) are hemp Al. That's why I say I know the pics didn't turn out too well. I'll try to get better tomorrow in the sunshine. Those ones whip up faster than the full glass bead ones do actually! And they're fun to do. I just make up the design as I go - whatever I'm "feeling" at the time. Some are more "masculine". The first one on the gold pillow is the one I gave to Brad actually. I just mailed it in a card. Cost me about $2 in postage. I make the beads smaller and black, or these "barrel" kind that look more like a guy's choker or bracelet (they do wear 'em). ![]() I was thinking about maybe $10 - $15 on a necklace (depending on the beadwork - some of those beads are unbelievably expensive!). Maybe $7 - $10 for bracelets, anklets and keychains. (no tax of course). I just thought I'm doing it as a hobby anyway, have a fair inventory of supplies, so what the heck, if I could make some coin to help my thru why not. Just as long as I don't look like some schlemp who's making garbage. lol btw - the hemp is in some pretty cool bright colours. I've experimented with using two colours which can create a unusual look which I haven't seen anywhere before. |

Thanks Lauren! I've worn the snake one to a couple of interviews actually. That is sort of a moon - a mouthblown glass pendant that's a moon shape with a bit of a tail at the end. I can also kind of custom make stuff - i.e. colour schemes, hemp (macrame) with or without beads, dangles and stuff. I can make them plain and you can attach what you like if you have a pendant or something from PetsMart, etc.. |
