Charlotte Rae's Height - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey guys, I know this is kind of silly, but am I the only one who's noticed that it looks like Charlotte Rae was several inches taller during Facts than she is now? Maybe it's just me...maybe she wore high heels or something during FOL years, but I swear it looks to me like she's shorter now than she was on Facts. Out of sheer curiosity, has anybody else noticed this?

Because I have not seen Charolette in quite some time, I am not able to say whether she looks shorter than she ever did. In fact, I think that the last time that I saw her was in the reunion movie in the early part of this millinium. However, you might be right about her being in high heels in her younger years!

You guys are right about CHARLOTTE RAE looking a lot taller in the facts of life (in fact she looked about the same height as the girls) whereas now she looks tiny when standing beside LISA WELCHEL......

People shrink as they age so maybe that's it?

she might have been wearing heels, but I think that hair-doo of hers was at least 14 inches high.

Oh, I remember this one from my elementary school science--the cartilage in a person's spine decreases as they grow older and weaker, so yes, people do usually get shorter with age. Nothing strange about that.
