The Golden Girls

I am calling this thread "The Golden Girls" for two essential reasons. In the first place, the "Golden Girls" page of this site seems to be getting a lot of action these days! One thing about the "Golden Girls" that a lot of people tend to be posting about is continuity errors. According to my expereinces, the "Golden Girls" is right up there with the "Flintstones" in terms of inconsistencies! On top of this, one of the posts on that page was made today and it was by a first-time poster. This serves as a reminder of the fact that new people are alwasy joining this community. It is because of this that I have decided to give another chance to a topic that I have written about once upon a time. This brings us back to the continuity issue! If any of you old-timers feel that I am being redundant, please bare with me! One topic that a lot of you know that I have posted quite a bit about is "Samantha's Protest". I would say that there are two main reasons for this. The first is that I like seeing Katie's bubble being burst at the end and the second is that I like hearing Julie say that what Katie was doing was disgusting! In any event, I feel that the school of thought expressed on this episode controdicted that which was expressed in the first season episode called "Julie's First Love". In this episode, Katie tried to sell Julie on the idea that, because it was the eighties, it was okay for a girl to ask a guy for a date. If this was the case, Katie would have asked out the handsome boy from the protest rather than flurt her butt off and make a foul out of herself! I would say that there are two real reasons that I was happy that the show went back to a more conservative point of view. In the first place, I think that someone like Katie deserved to be on egg shells about whether he would eventually ask her out! On top of this, I think that she deserved to end up horny with no place to go!
