Anyone remember "THE EVIL TOUCH"? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

it was a short-lived (just a couple months) anthology show that ran in first-run sydnication in the 70s. It was sort of like "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" exept all the shows were dramatic; whereas on "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" they had a humorus segment every once in a while.

I remember in my area, a local station used to show it sunday nights at 10:30. It was hosted by a guy named Anthony Quayle or something.

Yes. Terrible show. Looked like it had a budget of about $10. They would have one "name" guest star in each episode, which probably took about 95% of their budget, leaving little leftover for scripts and sets. I have a few on tape somewhere.

yes, it was a HORRIBLE show; I wasn't at all surprised when it didn't last.

I remember, after about a month into its run, they started reruning episodes, and I rember reading somewhere that the host was no longer doing it and they had stopped making new episodes.
