Default Favorite Season Premiere

What is your favorite season premiere of Wings?

(Season 1) Legacy - On Nantucket Island, Joe Hackett, owner and sole pilot of Sandpiper Air, receives a letter from the executor of his late father's will. The letter contains a package to be opened only in the presence of his brother, Brian, who had run off with Joe's fiancée Carol six years ago, and to whom Joe had not spoken to since. At the urging of Helen, proprietress of the airport lunch counter and longtime friend to both brothers, Joe calls up Brian to invite him to the island. After Brian's arrival, the two open the package only to discover a key to a security deposit box. Expecting to a find a fortune, the two brothers head of to the bank. But they return with another key, this one to a lock in Boston. The trail of keys continue, until they return to Nantucket with a key belonging to an unknown lock. Frustrated at the meaningless chase, the strained peace between the two brothers dissolves. The painful subject of Carol is brought up, but Brian reveals that Carol ran off with another man only two weeks ago. Just as Brian is ready to leave the airport, Fay discovers that the key belongs to one of the lockers at the airport. Inside is one last suitcase, and inside that suitcase....is nothing but joke snakes and a picture of young Joe and Brian together. Their father's last wish was to have his estranged sons reunited, and that wish is granted as Brian accepts Joe's job offer to be a pilot for Sandpiper.

(Season 2) The Puppetmaster - To break Helen's "no dating pilots" rule, Brian hires an actor to play Helen's dream date, a man perfect in every way except for the fact he's a pilot. Meanwhile, Roy's idea to keep in touch with Lowell by walkie talkie proves unsuccessful, as Lowell uses it more for fun than actual communication.

(Season 3) The Naked Truth - After a ten month silence, Joe hears from Helen in New York City. When Helen fishes around about their relationship, he can't bring himself to tell her about his new girlfriend, Gail. Joe and Brian travel to New York, so Joe can tell Helen in person about Gail, but the two find Helen working as a waitress in a strip joint. Intent on getting Helen to leave New York and return to Nantucket, Joe doesn't mention Gail. Shortly following their return to the island, Gail surprises them. After a screaming match and feeling hurt and betrayed, Helen drives her jeep through Joe's office.

(Season 4) Lifeboat - Stranded at sea aboard a lifeboat after a water landing, the gang spend restless hours at each other's throats, awaiting rescue. Joe watches his plane sink, and Helen loses her cello. Just as things are at there worst, and the lifeboat is losing air, they are rescued by the Coast Guard. But for Joe things don't get better, as the unpaid bills begin to pile up and his search for a plane to rent proves futile. Finally he decides to sell Sandpiper and move to the South Pacific, and convinces Helen to come with him. But then Lowell comes out of the hangar and says he has something Joe might want to see: it's his plane that was just salvaged. After seeing that, he can't leave.

(Season 5) Stop in the Name of Love - Everyone is of course skeptical when Brian announces that his relationship with Alex is special. To try to ensure that their relationship lasts longer than a couple of weeks, they decide not to sleep with one another yet.

(Season 6) Whose Wife is it Anyway? - After their night together, Helen tells Joe that it was all a big mistake and heads to New York to marry Davis. While bemoaning his loss with Brian (who has sorrows of his own, when news comes that Alex has left the island for good), Joe comes to realize he has to win Helen back. He follows her to New York and finally catches up to her in the elevator on the way to Davis' penthouse. Joe asks Helen to marry him, and she says yes.

(Season 7) Burnin' Down the House - Joe and Helen return from their honeymoon in Jamaica to recieve bad news: a night of passion between Brian and Casey in Helen's house resulted in a devastating fire. That Leaves Brian kicked out of the house and Sandpiper by Joe. When digging through the rubble of Helen's home,Brian and Casey unearth a suitcase and photgraph that had been the hackett brother's only inheritance from their late father. Brian's attempts to remind Joe of that fails, but Joe later sees a vision of his late father and forgives Brian. Meanwhile, Antonio takes his revenge on Brian and Casey and Helen takes out her anger on Casey's clothes.

(Season 8) Porno for Pyros - After Joe and Helen burn down Brian's house he's expecting a big check, much like the one they got. But the gutting of the old Hackett house is cause for an appearance by an insurance investigator, who has serious doubt about the legitimacy of the two claims in the last year. Until she and Antonio's wild night of passion sparks a blaze at the local hotel and that convinces her the cases are legit.

"Stop in the Name of Love" - Joe Hackett shirtless in the first five minutes does it for me anytime.

No seriously...no resolutions to cliffhangers - this was just the funniest way to start the season. I love how everyone kept showing up in Alex's apartment to deter Brian from sleeping with Alex...especially Joe, who was laying on the bed....and I couldn't stop laughing when Roy "Shows up" with the camcorder.

"Hello losers, I'm back from my vacation. Who wants to see my tanline?"
