Default The GG's on Hallmark stinks!

They cut out so much from the episodes. I hate it!

Lol. Thank you! I don't like it at all either. There is a discussion about this on another thread, called the Editing on Hallmark. Or something like that.

I disagree. Im not a huge fan of GG anyway, but I much prefer it on Hallmark. At least they show the credits! And you get like 3 or 4 eps.

Im hoping Hallmark will pick up Mama's Family -my favorite show ever.

After watching this week, I guess they have cut out quite a bit of scenes from the show and edit out some dialogue although not as noticeable line cuts like on Lifetime. These remind me of what the syndicated episodes were like that aired on local stations in the mid-90s. Could Hallmark just be using that or do they actually have to go in and edit the episodes themselves? I'll be curious to see how We Channel edits theirs starting next week.

I remember on Lifetime TV at the beginning of an episode of GG, if they showed the Airplane flying by the Sun then that was going to be an unedited ep. Which I always enjoyed.

Hallmark plays the long version of the opening credits/song for every episode, so they need to cut some scenes somewhere. I prefer Lifetime's editing since they used the shorter opening 75% of the time and had less editing.

It's been 100 years (months?) since I've posted but had to email in for my lost password to respond to this..............I'm glad it's off that stupid Lifetime channel which I hate, but Hallmark? GMAB!!! The worst thing about GG being on Hallmark is the commercials are all geared to people over the age of 90 (give or take) and they cut mid-scene and go straight into someone talking about "health coverage" for something, or some deadly disease commercial ...it's horrible!

Then they have cut out really funny lines and scenes. Remember the episode when they did a flashback and it was Sophia's 50th birthday? (I miss Estelle..haven't posted since she passed so sorry I'm late mentioning something..) anyway, they had to cut out the part where Sal says "you're acting like an @ss!" Oooo ... such vulgar language for a family-oriented channel. Please. And why Hallmark? It's no longer available on basic cable.....in several markets. I think it should have gone to local affilliates, but honestly, Lifetime is where it belonged even if only shown once a day. At least Lifetime is available on almost every basic channel lineup. You know, the best way to watch this show IMO is on DVD where you get the entire episode including those 30 sec-1 min endings in some of the newer shows.

Both Lifetime and Hallmark make edits. I notice some things kept in the hallmark edits that weren't in the Lifetime edits, and vice-versa. Difference is that Lifetime made cuts within a scene; Hallamrk, I've noticed, cuts big chunks of scnes sometimes, which is a lil' annoying.

I have all seasons on DVD, but do like to watch on TV sometimes.
