Penny's New Love Interest Has Been Cast - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's a twist only a nerd could love: The Big Bang Theory's "cheesecake-scented goddess" is feasting on Ugly Betty's geeky leftovers!

Kevin Sussman, best known as the poor lad that Ugly Betty dumped in season 2, has been cast as a love interest for Kaley Cuoco's Penny on Big Bang.

As exec producer Bill Prady first teased in last week's Ask Ausiello, Sussman will play a comic book-obsessed friend of the guys who starts dating Penny -- much to torchbearer Leonard's horror.

As of now, Sussman is booked for just one episode, which is tentatively scheduled to air on April 13.

I'm glad they're going to give Penny something more to do on the show.

I've been watching the show lately and Kaley has only been on a few minutes an epsiodse.

That's a crime!

I wonder what Chuck Lorre will write up for Johnny Galecki's character Dr. Leonard Hofstadter once he sees Penny's new love interest. To quote another famous show, In my opinion, "I hope he dies a proverbial violent death and bugs eat his corpse."

I'd love to see Stephanie return in this episode, whom which Leonard tries to make Penny jealous with. I think it could lead to an hilarious outcome, and definitely lead us into another "Will they get together?" finale.
