Oh No Oh God..... Sometimes I Am So Embarassed To Be From Florida......

When I was 16, I remember CRINGING when it was revealed that we FLORIDIANS did not know who we voted for and there had to be a recount..... Oh the shame.... *Cringe*(please tell me, is there a 'cringe" smiley... if there is, I'd LOVE to insert it here). These are the best "Cringe" smileys i can find....... hno: It's so damn embarassing to be the only state that made the election have a recount....... hno:

All jokes aside, I'm not embarrassed to have been living in Fla. for over 30 years. Yeah, I heard of the bonehead things that Floridians have been doing, but people all over the country do bonehead things, too!!

Orlando is still the top vacation destination in the US(and still one of the top in the world), and I am proud that I only live less than an hour from the Mouse House.

Be proud of where you're from. I'm very proud to be a Michigander (yes, that's really what we're called). I lived there from kindergarten through college, and despite record unemployment, huge rise in crime, and the mayor of Detroit going to jail (beat that!) I wil always be proud of where I grew up. Thick midwestern accent and all

You know something, you're right. Connecticut stands a good fight against Michigan for the most depressing state.

I'm from Massachusetts, the state with a sneeze in the middle of its name. Mass-achoo!-setts. If that isn't depressing enough, I don't know what is. Oh wait, we have Deval Patrick for governor... His answer to the economic crisis is more taxes for everyone.

Guys, I said SOMETIMES I am embarassed to be from Florida. I love Florida! Florida is a hot spot for Spring break and we have Disney World! But, how could a state NOT KNOW WHO IT VOTED FOR? That's cringeworthy...... *Hides* It's times like this when i seriously wish that Miiami could be considered emancipated from Florida......

The people of Illinois don't know who their governor is or who their senator is!

if anybody should be embarassed right now, it should be anybody who posts here from Illinois. The fact two governors back-to-back got into major scandals is embarassing enough... Hopefully it looks like Quinn is steering us back on track

...and Liza, I'm happy that I live in Chicago - despite the fact that the Cubs have not won the pennant since 1901, 3 of the last 5 Illinois governors have done/are doing jail time (Blago will be number 4 soon enough) and there is no more Marshall Field's or Sears Tower. But, there IS one thing to be proud about - a Chicagoan is in the White House!

Yeah, what is Sears Tower going to be called now?? Not that it matters, I (along with doubtless many others) will still call it Sears Tower!!
