Default Cut scene in opening

There is a scene in the opening credits where the three of them are on the couch and Blanche is wearing a red outfit and pulls her sleave and holds her arm up like she's disgusted. I've wondered what episode this scene is in and finally realized that it is from the burglary episode where the three of them are on the couch after Dorothy throws the security salesman out.

However, there is no such scene as what is shown in the opening during the episode. It isn't even on the DVD of the original uncut episodes so I don't know if it was something that was thrown out later but used in the opening or what.

I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this and knows what I'm talking about.

It was an outtake from "Break In." The scene in the opening where Dorothy throws up her arms at Blanche was an outtake from "Transplant." Those scenes probably didn't make the original episodes, but they were used for the opening theme instead.

Also the part where Dorothy bites her fist isn't in any of the episodes. I remember posting a topic about those two things years ago and getting the same answer. They were just never used in the final episode. It would have been nice to know what the girls were talking about during these clips though.

Blanche: I don't really mind Clayton being homosexual, I just don't like him dating men.
Dorothy: You really haven't grasped the concept of this gay thing yet, have you?
Blanche: There must be homosexuals who date women.
Sophia: Yeah, they're called lesbians.

Dorothy throwing up her hands? The only thing I can think of where she is doing that was from the pilot episode after Sophia called Harry a scuzball. Which clip are you refering to? Lol I could go look, I'm just too lazy to put in an episode.

Blanche was suggesting they go out and do something crazy and celebrate life in that conversation towards the end of the "Transplant" episode.

You mention Dorothy never bit her fist like it shows in the opening, but for some reason I'd swear seeing that in an episode during its original NBC run...but I could be wrong lol. It is from the break-in episode I think.

I've head that about people remembering it the NBC run....but I don't recall it being on the DVD. Because I specifically looked for it.

Dorothy biting her fist is an alternate scene from Break-In as well, after the checkers game.

And it does suck that Hallmark is cutting certain scenes. They're still coming under 22 minutes, but I have them on DVD uncut, so I am not going to gripe.

Default this drove me crazy!!!

I asked this same question a couple years ago because it drove me crazy. I KNOW for sure I've seen this clip at least once, so it was aired at some point. When Blanche pulls her red sleeve over her fist I recall her saying something about a dog could bite someones hand off.

I remember an episode where Blanche pulls the sleeve over her hand (don't remember the dog biting comment). I'm glad they are showing the full opening on Hallamark.

For some reason, I'd swear they showed that on the original NBC airing in 1985 as well as Dorothy biting her fist. I could be wrong, but it seems like I remember it being part of the episode although the DVD doesn't have them.

I finally saw this yesterday and knew I wasn't crazy that Dorothy did bite her hand/first in an episode. The scene was cut out by Lifetime of course.

Dorothy does bite her fist but with not as much impact as in the opening scene. She bites it after she and Sophia are playing Scrabble in the Break-In episode after Sophia spells the word disdam and then uses it saying to Dorothy "You're no good at disdam game" then Sophia walks off and Dorothy bites her hand slowly. This explains where that outtake comes from in the opening but was done more forcefully by Dorothy.

I assume the cut scene with Blanche pulling her sleeve over her hand was related to a discussion about their attack dog in the kitchen as one viewer remembered on here Blanche saying something about a dog biting a hand off. I assume this was on the original NBC run?

Dorothy bites her fist in the episode when her and sophia are playing scrable and dorothy challenges her word. Sophia says it is a word and dorothy say ok well use it in a sentence......she say you're no good at Dis Damn Game and gets up from the table and walks away then dorothy bites her fist....as to say u get on my last nerves.......

Default Yes...

I knew Dorothy bit her first as well in at least one episode.

The DVDs have the complete episodes, save for, what, the 5th season? At least that's what others have said.
