NEW YORK: In celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Twilight Zone, CBS Consumer Products has signed five licensees to develop merchandise such as games and dolls for the iconic property. The United States Postal Service is creating a 50th anniversary commemorative stamp slated for release in August 2009. Additionally, U.K.-based game maker Gamaka has licensed the rights to manufacture both a new interactive trivia DVD game as well as a board game inviting fans to test their knowledge of the classic series. Further licensees who have signed up for The Twilight Zone products include Bif Bang Pow!, for action figures and bobble heads; Rittenhouse Archives, which is creating trading cards using images from various episodes; and Hallmark Cards, making keepsake ornaments to be released for the 2009 holiday season. "The Twilight Zone has made a profound mark on entertainment and the world of pop culture at large," said Liz Kalodner, the executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products. "The merchandising program focuses on the iconic nature of the brand and will appeal to all generations of fans." |

TZ has had a very nice (IMO) pinball game, which I have played a few times over the last 20 years or so. I'll likely play it again if/when I see it again.
