Now, since we moved into a new home almost five months ago we gave up our landline house phones and use a cell phone as our house phone. Does anyone use a house cell phone?

The good thing about having a cell phone at home you can take your home cell phone anywhere with you.

yes, we do. We decided to do that when the phone wiring in our apt. went out, and since the problem's in the wall, we decided to do this instead of having someone come in and look at it.
