The Boston Terrier is gentle, alert, very intelligent, well-mannered and enthusiastic. Without the proper amount of mental and physical exercise they can become rambunctious and a bit high strung. They are very sensitive to the tone of one's voice. Boston's like to learn and therefore are not difficult to train.
![]() I have a 3 year old Boston and he is the best dog I have ever had. Very obedient and easy to train. He knows many commands and tricks. He's the best. Anyone else here have a boston terrier? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4q5KA31zjY

I could never own one, because I'm quite allergic to short hair dogs, but I do like them. My aunt and uncle's last three dogs have been Boston Terriers. Even though I'm allergic, I can't help but to play with their current dog when I'm there. I usually end up paying for it, though. My uncle really likes them because they are easy to train.

Im sorry about your allergy. That has to be hard to deal with. What if you take some Claritin does that help any?
Bostons are very easy to train, I was just amazed at how smart they are. They are the sweetest dogs ever too. I love to cuddle with mine all the time.

I do take Zyrtec daily, but when I'm around things I'm highly allergic to, it doesn't help for very long.
Here's a picture of my aunt and uncle's dog, Bobo, that I took just after he turned 8. |

I don't own one myself, but my groomer owns a couple. She also has a rotti but the terriers are the rulers of the place. She said she'll never be without one now she loves them so much.
When I was a kid we had next door neighbours who had one called "Peaches". It was a nice dog but when my mom dog sat for them, she thought she was giving Peaches a treat with feeding her canned dog food (she always ate kibble). The gas was enough to peel the wallpaper off the walls!! LOL Looked good on my mom, but the rest of us suffered with the dog!
