Definitely gloves. I had mittens when I was younger and hated them, they really crowd your hand.

i have these fingerless gloves with a convertible mitten thing that flips over to keep your fingers toastie warm when necessary - way better than either option in the poll.

Gloves. I've never known an adult to wear mittens. My husband had a pair once, but just for cleaning snow off the car, but not for fashion.
