So I am sick today and I have nothing to do except work on my computer....so...I was watching facts of life re-runs and I noticed there are a few times...especially in the later eps. that Jo has a few "blond" moments. I.e. "50, 50 uh 50 50?" Or the whole episode of "Steak out Blues..." an a few others..I just think it's real cute..because it's out of character..yet matches so it's kinda of in character...you know?
Also...in the episode "the first time" Jo is pretty not that clear where she stands on the issue of Nat loosing her virginity...and Nat does go to Jo for advice over Tootie ... so my conclusion is that the audience is supposed to maybe read into the fact that maybe Nat wasn't the first to loose her virginity...Jo just doesn't talk about that sort of stuff...hey who knows her relationship with the prof. was quite serious. What do you all think? Laters!

I don't think Jo was the first. She just told Natalie what she thought and gave her the best advice she could concerning the topic. It shocked Jo at first to hear what Nat had done. I also think that Jo was afraid to tell Nat the real truth of what she thought about it until finally Natalie just said "stop being wishy washy and tell me what u think!" so I don't think the writers were trying to promote Jo in that ep and make us think she was the first. Jo (in my opinion) was much more mature than tootie (in the earlier seasons anyway. and age is a factor as well) and even tho jo put off a front that she was tough all the time, she also has a soft side that made Nat want to go to her for advice. She valued Jo's opinion very much and knew that Jo would give her good advice and tell her the real truth; the good the bad and the ugly in the situation.
