‘Ross the Intern’ Leaves the Tonight Show for 'The Insider' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ross Mathews has come onboard as a celebrity interviewer for TheInsider.com.

Mr. Mathews got his break on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” where he filmed segments and did celebrity interviews for seven years as “Ross the Intern.”

Mr. Mathews will host the daily video Web talk show “Inside Dish With Ross Mathews,” launching Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. PT with an Oscar-themed episode partially filmed at the Hollywood Museum. Future episodes will take viewers along to set visits, red-carpet events, movie premieres and other Hollywood events.

The Web show, available at TheInsider.com/Dish, will be only part of Mr. Mathew’s duties. He also will appear on CBS’ “The Insider,” both in on-set and in the field appearances.

Seems to be a good career move for Ross. Leno's Tonight Show is coming to an end, and who knows just what the primetime version will be like. This way Ross will continue to work; he can always guest on Leno on occasion.

I like Ross. He is hilarious.
