Red Sox's Lowell Remembers Mariah Carey from First Camp
 Boston Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell recalls his memorable spring training debut. His first camp came in 1998 with the Yankees. He wasn't in awe of Yogi Berra or Reggie Jackson. What blew him away was Derek Jeter's girlfriend. "I'm just a guy working out and 10 feet away Jeter is hanging around with Mariah Carey," Lowell said. "Seeing her was pretty cool. People of that stature don't usually come around the minor league parks." Lowell got to look from afar, but that was about it. "We didn't talk shop or anything," he said. "We didn't hang out. She just kind of appeared there." Lowell was dating his future wife at the time, so that was the closest he ever got to a starlet.
